If you haven’t had enough public disgrace in your real life, there’s always more waiting for you in reality TV.

ABC News’ What’s the Buzz reports that Ted Haggard, who resigned from his position as pastor of the New Life Church in 2006 when it was revealed that he’d been paying for drugs and sex from a male escort, is now going on ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap, switching partners with Gary Busey. (It’s kind of fun to watch the What’s The Buzz video reporter snark about the pair for doing “anything for publicity”—essentially mocking them for doing an ABC show.)

TPM reports that the episode was scheduled to tape on Thursday in Colorado Springs, Colo., at the LGBT Pride Center. There doesn’t seem to be too much of that kind of pride for Haggard—he did recently admit to GQ that “probably, if I were 21 in this society, I would identify myself as a bisexual,” though he has denied since the scandal that he is gay, TPM reports.

We love a story that keeps on giving and to be honest the best parts are a) TPM’s notation that “Haggard is also slated to make a cameo as himself in a Christian sex comedy promoting abstinence called The Waiting Game, assuming the movie can scrape together the funding,” and b) Some reader comments at the end of their wife-swap news story.
