French has long been known as the language of love. The beauty and confidence of French women, and the country’s reputation for sophistication in relationship matters, makes us feel like the Jan to their Marcia.

And like all kid sisters we gotta wonder, what can we learn from them?

It must have made Sasha Brown-Worsham at The Stir wonder that, too, and good thing she did, because it lead her to bring us “6 Sexy Love Tips We Should Steal From French Women.” We like the way she thinks.

“Kick the idea of marriage to the curb: American women over 50 who are having sex are usually married. Those who are not married are not having sex according to the Journal of Sex Research study. In France, there are much more liberal definitions of relationships and couplings, so it opens women up to have more opportunity to have sex.”

More liberal definitions of relationships and couplings sounds like the greatest import from France since brie and champagne. We could do with a little less stress around relationship issues. We bet that would probably make us a little more relaxed and confident as well, which would be better for our romantic health.
