What's with this rash of medical professionals being accused of sex abuse? It really is a shame. We go to doctors, therapists and nurses for help, and some of them violate the trust we place in them.
This story is just as appalling as the rest. A woman identified only as Jane Doe is afflicted with a digestive disorder that causes her to spend much of her time dealing with uncontrollable nausea and vomiting. When struck by another of these upset stomach episodes, she popped into Bethesda Memorial Hospital in South Florida to be treated for dehydration.
Doe says that while she was there, a male nurse touched her breasts and stomach in a sexual manner. She sprang from her bed and went immediately to the nurses’ station to report the incident, but the man is still working there. So Doe filed a lawsuit.
“I am concerned this is not the first time this nurse violated patients, and I'm convinced if not stopped he will do this to someone else,” said Doe.
Boynton Beach Police were called and are investigating the incident but the man has not been arrested.
“Of course the anxiety and trauma of it is horrible,” said Doe's attorney Jeff Herman. “She wants to protect other women and to bring a voice to what she's going through.”
