EdenFantasys and SexIs Magazine are promoting SexyYou this month. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate topic for Women’s Month. Also I’m certain many people are thinking surely anyone with the title of “Goddess” in their name has a evident connection with their inner goddess at all times. I mean, that’s what people think right?
To be honest there are times where I do not feel goddess-like at all. There are days where I simply want to hide under my covers and have a Mexican standoff with my bed.
Stress, every day challenges, business deals falling through and the occasional crazy client can leave one feeling drained. Even with the title of goddess, I am not sitting in a gold plated throne being served wine and cheese and fanned by tanned men in their early 20s, though the thought is lovely.
Realistically I spend an enormous amount of time in service to others because of my professional careers. So what do I do to recharge?
I’m glad you asked. I have rituals for myself some are weekly some monthly but the daily ones
are probably what count the most.
1. Get your mind right. I make certain to rarely leave the house with a bad attitude about what I’m wearing, how my hair is or how my body looks. I give myself the “I am woman, hear me roar” pep talk. Once I have that unstoppable feline on the prowl mentality, I know the rest of my day will follow suit. Confidence in my capabilities, my inner not just outer beauty give me a swagger like no other.
2. Indulgence. I spoil myself and am unashamed to say so. I have no issue with treating myself to lavish bubble baths with scented rose petals. Buying a new devilish sex toy to use on myself or a partner. Secret mini getaways to the local spa, or even as far as weekend getaways to boutique hotels in NYC. Dinner and a movie just for me. Yes alone, not because I can’t find a date, rather because I don’t need one. I treat myself how I would want any other person to do so. Also I am spoiled by a few individuals which is fabulous, but they would never do so if I didn’t set the tone for my own wants, desires and expectations.
3. Brick House 36-28-40 Oh yeah, I’ve got curves for days and I flaunt them. I embrace my voluptuous figure and accentuate it. My attitude wasn’t always like this. I’ve fluctuated between so many dress sizes to comply with what I thought society wanted instead of what I wanted. Now my extra fluffy parts don’t bother me like they used to. They are a part of me, therefore beautiful.
I have an extra pep in my step with a pair of leopard print stilettos a pencil skirt and a form fitting blouse. I admire the sway of my hips, the roundness of my breasts and wideness of my hips. I appreciate the imperfections just as much, they give me character and remind me of life's little journeys.
Overall, my thoughts on what I thought was sexy in my 20s are not the same today. Perhaps the SexyYou is something that is cultivated over time like a good wine, which means I’ve got a hell of lot more sexiness to develop and I look forward to it.
