A few members of the Chicago-area Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad, while in Peoria, Ill., for a law enforcement conference, decided to pop into Big Al’s, a gentlemen's club on Main Street. While there, the squad kicked up quite a fuss. One of the officers among them had no identification on him, so, in accordance with the law, the bouncers wouldn't let him in.
When the bouncers said no, an officer identified only by his age (34) “squared off with the bouncer” while another officer, 26 pushed the bouncer over a chair. A third officer, 40, got involved in the struggle, and Big Al's called, well, more police to the scene, to make the unruly police behave.
Those involved in the incident were arrested and charged. Mr. 34 was charged with one count each of battery and criminal trespassing, Mr. 40 with a count of battery, and Mr. 26 with two counts of battery. But the police still aren't releasing their names!
“The incident remains under an internal investigation within the Bolingbrook Police Department as this is a personnel issue,” Bolingbrook Police Lt. Mike Rompa told reporters.
We would like to note that Peoria did not have these kinds of problems with a swingers club but the city banned it anyway.
