What's more humiliating than having your water break in the middle of Neiman Marcus at a shopping mall? Well, maybe realizing the guy standing next to you is none other than Chris Rock.

Last Friday, Rock reminded us that celebrities can be more than just a famous face (and occasionally are) when he entertained a very pregnant woman and surrounding crowd at the Garden State Plaza in Westfield, N.J., until help arrived on the scene. Rock says he was just browsing the aisles when he noticed a very pregnant fellow shopper was in labor. The woman's water broke, and Rock sprang into action. Married with two children, Rock has a bit of experience in the labor department.

Witnesses say the woman knew who Chris Rock was immediately, and the comedian stayed beside her the entire time, cracking jokes, just being his normal obnoxiously funny self, until she was taken away by paramedics. Thanks to his quick thinking, the mother remained calm despite her condition, and the crowd got a free stand-up show. There's currently no other information on mother and child.

While we imagine the mother's chief concern was the healthy birth of her child, we also have to wonder if she was worried about being the star of his next stand-up act.
