People pay a lot of money to see a little heinie in strip clubs, but they pay a lot of money to show a little heinie in Albany, Ga.
An ordinance in Albany bans anyone from wearing pants or skirts more than three inches below the top of the hips, exposing the skin or undergarments,” and according to the Albany Record, in less than nine months the 187 citations issued have raked in $3,916.39 for the city.
The first time you show a little too much in Albany it’ll cost you $25, but fines can go up to $200. You can’t get arrested for this particular kind of crack but you could get up to 40 hours of community service for violating the so-called “baggy pants ordinance.”
The Record says that other cities have considered such a ban. But we dunno. We’re talking about thong exhibitionists and boxer-bearers here ... isn’t being found ridiculous in the eyes of the fashion police punishment enough? There must be more serious crimes to deal with and besides … they’re sometimes they first good laugh we get in a day. That’s community service in itself.
