It's not that I would ever wish anything bad on Florence Henderson. She helped my childhood out by playing Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch and went the extra mile to participate in those spectacularly sequined Brady Bunch Variety Hour shows. She has never done anything to deserve the laugh I got out of the headline, “Brady Bunch mom got crabs in affair with NY mayor.”
Probably wasn't funny to her. A Reuters story says Henderson writes about this little gift from then-NYC mayor John Lindsay in her memoir “Life is Not a Stage: From Broadway Baby to a Lovely Lady and Beyond,” co-written by Joel Brokaw and due out in September. It was a one-night stand in the 1960s; both parties were married. She awoke to find herself crawling with “little black things.” Lindsay sent flowers and an apologetic note.
See? Knock sexting all you want, but if the NY politician could have just texted her a pecker pic the lovely lady might never have had to go through that.
