Yes, Australia still has a national Sex Party—bringing sex and government together in ways that are only dreamed of here in the states—and so, when activists start a movement to ban schoolgirl uniforms from being sold as adult novelties, those members of the Australian Sex Party are on it with a quickness.
The ban has been proposed by the founder of Aussie Kids Free 2B Kids, Julie Gale, who protests the sexualization of school uniforms still worn by actual school kids across the country. But, Australian Sex Party Convenor Fiona Patten issued a statement that the issue isn’t about kids, but about adult women who like their kink.
“These costumes are worn to a variety of events, like school reunions and office parties, where there is no sexual connotation at all,” Patten said. “But even when they are being worn by women who enjoy dressing up sexually for their partners, Ms. Gale has no right to try and tell women how they should behave in the bedroom. This is the same as telling Muslim women they shouldn’t be wearing burqas, nuns that they shouldn’t be wearing habits or young women out for the night that they shouldn’t be wearing provocative clothing. Women should be free to wear whatever they want.” You go, Ms. Convenor.
