Nothing about the Dominique Strauss-Kahn scandals leaves one with a feeling of good taste. But a porn parody of an alleged sexual assault?
France’s The Local reports that a company called My Porn Production will be making a movie titled “DXK,” with Roberto Malone starring as “David Sex King.” The film will be a “parody” of the alleged sexual assault against hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo, a case which New York prosecutors dropped because of doubts about whether Diallo was credible but which nonetheless crippled DSK’s chances of being a presidential contender in France.
We know to expect cheek from a porn company but this is a bit much: “The production company’s website has called on members of the public to help fund the film’s €200,000 production. A minimum of €50 will secure their names in the credits and an invitation to the premiere.”
Wow … so you get to go to the premiere of a movie mocking an alleged rape? How proud will that make you?
Making fun of DSK, fine, but the incident in question? That’s more than a little offsides. Kind of hard to believe there’s an okay way to parody an incident of sexual violence. Wonder what Tristane Banon will have to say…
