A traveling collection of kinky erotica has made its way to the University of Chicago. More than 10,000 items are included, covering a wide range of fetishes from adult babies to leather. Titles like “Macho Sluts,” “Run Little Leather Boy” and “Diapers” stand proudly on display in Coulter Lounge at the International House residence hall.
“When it travels to kink events, essentially we’re preaching to the choir,” said Vi Johnson, who has collected the books and such with her partner. “Being able to bring this display to a college campus, put a 300-year-old book in the hands of a 20-year-old and say ‘Here’s your history’ — it’s such a rush.”
Vi says this is the first college in which she's displayed the collection.
“People who are exploring sexuality in ways that are non-traditional, oftentimes feel like they are the first ones who ever thought about this,” "Drea", the vice president of the student group RACK (Risk-Aware Consensual Kink), told reporters. “What you see in the library is this is not new.”
Drea says no one's reacted badly to the collection besides a few people who exhibited a little bit of “uptight body language.”
