When last we visited with big (as in BBW) porn star April Flores, she was looking hot with Buck Angel on the cover of SexIs' June/July issue. In a two-part interview with our own Cherry Trifle, April talked about growing up, getting married and making waves in the world of alt-porn.
2011 has kicked off for April and her husband/director, Carlos Batts, with the release of Artcore. The new indie film is the beginning of a series in which Carlos and April step further outside the boundaries of traditional porn and into a realm of postmodern erotic art and sensibility.
“This film is the evolution of hardcore pornography, drawing inspiration from both the fluidity of queer porn as well as a sinful parody on the way technology is used in pornography,” is what Courtney Trouble had to say about the latest from April and Carlos.
And here's what Carlos and April had to say, themselves, in a recent interview with SexIs.
Artcore is available for viewing through HotmoviesforHer.com and you can buy the DVD through April's own site, www.FattyD.com.
If you want to see what all the buzz is about, here's the trailer:
In keeping with the times, Artcore is also launching for mobile formats on mobile.fattyd.com, powered by Night Mobile. “For years industry professionals have argued for and against porn being an art form. Now that argument has been put to rest with Artcore, a true mixture of art and porn. We are extremely excited to be involved in this cutting-edge film,” said JC, VP Business Development of Night Mobile.
Erotic documentary? Art porn for the 21st century? Maybe. “Alternative Porn” sounds a little too generic for what April and Carlos are doing, don’t you think?
