The Vagina Monologues, written by Eve Ensler, was originally performed off-Broadway in 1996. Ensler initially performed each monologue herself, but subsequent performances have been divided among three or more actresses. Every monologue is related to the vagina, be it through sex, love, rape, menstruation, mutilation, masturbation, birth, orgasm, the variety of names for the vagina, or simply as a physical aspect of the body.
Today, Nina responds to a viewer, who asks about her participation in the show, by sharing her experience and her thoughts on violence against women.
