Looking for a surefire solution to the age-old dilemma of how to prove attempted rape when the guy doesn't leave any evidence behind? Well, you could always do what this 40-year-old married mother of three from Bangladesh did.

Monju Begum says her neighbor, who is also 40 and married with children, has been harassing her for months, trying to get her to have sex with him. Then he took it too far and tried to force herself on him. So she cut off the dude's penis.

“As he tried to rape her, the lady cut his penis off with a knife. She then wrapped up the penis in a piece of polythene and brought it to the Jhalakathi police station as evidence of the crime,” police chief Abul Khaer told AFP.

Mozammel Haq Mazi, Begum's alleged attacker, denies the charges, saying the two had been having an affair and Begum had attacked him after she became angry that he refused to leave his wife. He's been admitted to the hospital for treatment, but the police are holding on to his penis and say Mazi will be arrested when his condition improves. We’re thinking they have enough DNA evidence for a conviction.

In case you were wondering, a surgeon said that Mazi's penis could not be reattached.
