Anime porn is pornography in either picture, video, or indeed comic/ manga form that is drawn, often in the Japanese or 'anime' style. It is more properly referred to as hentai. Hentai is a Japanese word which translates to, 'pervert'. Though it can also be used to describe pornography, if you want to be extremely formal there is a Japanese word that is translated loosely to, 'what one uses to masturbate'.
The birth of hentai was made possible and profitable by the birth and rise of large scale animation in far eastern countries. Post-WW2 era Japan started making movies with techniques of animation and story telling reminiscent of Disney's style, the most notable of which were what would later be called 'Mech Movies' which involved giant robots. It expanded exponentially over time, and now anime is in every genre of movie and show, as well as advertisements and pretty much everything else. It's everywhere.
Seriously, anime is everywhere.
So, because it was a large and familiar medium that already had an adult audience, it's only natural that it would progress into pornography.
Because it was all animated, the story lines, laws of physics, and basic human anatomy could be completely disregarded so that impossible, incredible things could happen. In hentai, people can fly, boobs can be the size of a small bean bag chair each, women have the ability to take into themselves things of impossible size, anthropomorphic hum-animals can exist, nobody has blemishes, and tentacles. Just... Tentacles...
Which means that in hentai, you can get away with WAY more weird, fetishy, and bizarre things than you can just sticking to normal porn. Even the most open minded German fetish videos can pale in comparison to even some of the more mild tentacle/ mind control based story hentai.
I realize I am being a bit racist here, but it is totally true that in Japanese culture there is a lot more misogyny to be had, and thus women can be objectified in hentai to an extreme, used, abused and literally raped. 'Mind control' hentai is an actual genre which is commonly used to describe situations or stories in which women are brainwashed, drugged or magically manipulated into being sexual slaves to men, dogs and other creatures.
Ok, so let's talk about tentacles, it's what everyone thinks when talking about hentai, it's common, it's weird, and ya know what? There is a hell of a lot more psychology related to it than, 'Japanese people are weird.'
The origin of tentacle porn is said to be an old print called 'The Fisherman's Wife', which is a pretty raunchy picture in which a woman is being orally pleasured by an octopus.
Ok... Context and explanation time.
Men like lesbian porn. Do you know why some men especially favor lesbian porn? Because there is no penis to compare themselves to. They can't feel bad about being smaller than the guy on screen because there isn't a guy on screen. Tentacle porn is an extension of this.
Japanese porn is for the most part censored when it comes to genitals. It's an old throwback to a ban made in the Meiji Era, during the introduction of western Victorian morals. After Japans defeat in WW2, the American occupation authorities changed a lot of Japan's laws to ensure freedom of speech and affection, but decided the existing laws regarding pornography didn't need to be changed. So it's just remained in effect.
But ya know what? A tentacle is not a penis.
So you don't need to censor it. The female anatomy still needs to be censored during the act of coitus, but the tentacle means it doesn't need to be censored, and you don't have to compare yourself or feel bad that your penis isn't as big as a giant tentacle monsters entire arm.
It's one of my favorite things about hentai that things don't have to be physically possible to happen. The people themselves aren't even physically possible, and it's not a bad thing.
They (yup, invoking the vaguery of the 'they'.) say that things are only beautiful because they are flawed. I sort of disagree. You see, I have never seen an anime character that had an non-deliberate blemish, or any of the other flaws a normal porn star would. They are always perfect. The setting is always right. There are never bloopers. The angles and blocking aren't bound by the ability to shoot it with a camera.
I'm one of those weird people that enjoys a thing called 'x-ray porn' where there is what looks like a cross section view of the inside of a woman's vagina and uterus ect, with the man insider her and fully visible. It's usually used to add emphasis to the moment of climax where the woman's womb gets filled to the brim.
It's not even just that though... It's all the suspended disbelief that comes with the more minor things in hentai, that would cost millions to produce as live action or CGI.
Hentai can be in space... On an alien planet, with aliens, mating with aliens, while flying, upside down, with a girl who's breasts inflate to a larger size whenever she has an orgasm, because of a magic curse cast on her by a Martian witch. I just made all that up but it is TOTALLY possible!
I know it's really, well, dorky and sad of me, but sometimes I prefer toon porn to real stuff. It's got more grandiose and creative stories, it's more visceral and extreme when it comes to fetishes, the girls have bigger boobs, the penises are HUGE (which I love) and most of all I don't feel guilty afterwords.
Where else do you get to see... That... Freaky of porn?
I'm basically saying I like hentai because it matches me. It even means me. I mean, I am a total pervert. I guess that's what I'm getting at, I like hentai cause I'm a huge perve. A bit of a whimper of an ending to an article but what else do you expect? It's 2:30 in the morning!
I'm going to bed.
Happy fapping ;)
