Don't worry, Charley Chase! You've been redeemed! It seems the firefighters you almost got fired aren't being disciplined at all.
Yes, that's right, folks. Despite Los Angeles City Councilman Dennis Zine's repeated assertions that the firefighters who allegedly allowed Charley to use their engines as props in her porno would be punished, it would appear they're not even getting so much as a slap on the wrist.
In response to Councilman Zine's request for follow up information on the case, Fire Chief Brian L. Cummings told the councilman there's absolutely nothing he can do. Even if they could prove allegations that firefighters knowingly and willingly allowed Charley to defile public property, the two years allowed by law that the chief had to take action have passed. Apparently, the video was from 2008.
“What happened with the lady on the fire truck was inappropriate,” Zine said. “It should not have happened. But because of the time frame ... there's no discipline they can administer.”
But Zine's got a plan.
"Whatever happened, they basically have clemency," he said. “We need to look at changing this part of the city charter.”
