When experienced cops enter a building they've been called to by way of alarm, they know to expect anything. For example, just recently, we had a series of brownouts, here in Schenectady, NY, which triggered the silent alarm at the bar across the street. But just the other day, police responded to an alarm at the bank on the corner, which was being robbed at gunpoint.
The incident I'm about to tell you, though, really takes the cake.
Officers in Marathon, Florida responded to a call at Windswept Appliance and Air Conditioning. They initially found a broken window and a pair of sneakers. Then they found poor 19-year-old Kenneth White, who will be immortalized in history as the burglar caught with his pants around his ankles.
In the middle of allegedly robbing the business, White logged himself onto the Internet, and made a mad dash for the adult section. He originally told the cops he was online looking for a job, though police said White was watching porn and pulling his pants up. He’s charged with two counts of petit larceny and property damage.
