The Secret is best used as an external vibrator. It's a great vibrator for clitoral and labial stimulation. On its lower settings it could be used for penile and testicular stimulation. I would definitely recommend against using the Secret as an anal toy since it doesn't have a flared based, but it can be used with caution for stimulation just outside the anus.

I probably wouldn't use it vaginally; the silver piece in between the battery cap and the bullet itself is not seamless and could be very difficult to clean bacteria out of. If you want to insert it vaginally, I would recommend putting it inside a condom or small toy cover. The Secret can be used for solo play or with a partner. It can also be used on the clit in addition to penetration, or to make the "penetrator" vibrate.

The Secret is made of a completely smooth, glossy plastic that has no smell or taste to it. The smoothness can make it a little hard to hold onto, especially at the highest speed and in water, so some texture near the base would have been a nice addition. The plastic conducts vibrations extremely well. The plastic can have the tiniest bit of a drag against skin, so you can use water, silicone or oil based lube with it. But if you just want to get down to business and skip the lube, the drag does not take away from the experience, and might actually add an extra dimension to your stimulation.

The Secret is a sleek and sophisticated bullet, about 3 inches long and with a diameter of about 3/4 of an inch. It looks just like a miniature traditional vibrator. It has a rounded tip and has a very slight point that can pinpoint the vibrations exactly where you want them. It's rounded shaft is great for rolling the bullet to alternating sides of your clit or wherever you're stimulating.

The Secret is sized perfectly for discreet travel and storage. It fits into pretty much any place you would want to keep it. You could stick it in your purse or even your coat pocket when you're out shopping, just in case you want to take a break for a quickie, or hide it in your makeup bag when you go on vacation. Though if you put it in your carry-on, you should be ready for a bag search; bullet-shaped objects can look a bit incriminating on the x-ray scanner.

The controller on the Secret is very discreet; so much so that you might miss it at first. The controller is a thin dial at the very end of the battery compartment cap. The dial has the same smooth texture as the rest of the bullet, so it's a little tricky to get a good grip on it. Again, some texture on the dial would have been a nice addition.

The dial controls the bullet through the speeds, ranging from a low but deep buzz (3 vrooms) to very strong, intense vibrations (5 vrooms). The gradation of the speeds is fairly smooth, but I could pick out maybe four speeds that it "settles into"; I'll call them low, medium, high, and "Holy sh!t, it goes higher?!". The Secret is very quiet at most speeds (2 bees) but gets pretty noisy at its highest speed (almost 4 bees).

Since the Secret is waterproof, you can bring it into the tub, shower or pool with you. A rubber ring seals the battery compartment water-tight when it's completely closed. Please make sure to not accidentally open the battery compartment while it's underwater or still wet, as this will definitely compromise the seal.

The Secret runs on one 1.5V N cell battery. N batteries are a bit pricier and take a little effort to find, but generally have more power and should last longer than your standard AA's. I recommend taking your old battery to the store with you, so you know you're getting the correct size. The battery slips into a compartment in the bottom of the vibrator with a screw-on cap. If you peek inside the battery compartment, you'll see "- 1.5V N +" written down the side, indicating which way the battery should go in. The battery came pre-installed with a little piece of clear plastic separating the end of the battery from the spring, so the battery would not get run down before I got it. I found this very reassuring. The Secret should be stored with the battery out as it could very easily get turned on accidentally, and storage that way is all-around better for the life of the toy and battery.

Plastic's a pretty low maintenance material. It's non-porous and can be cleaned with soap and hot water, isopropyl alcohol, or antibacterial toy cleaner. Since the Secret is waterproof, it's very easy to clean without damaging it. Just make sure the battery compartment is completely closed before you get it wet. As I mentioned before, plastic is compatible with water, silicone and oil based lubes.

The Secret comes to you in a plastic clam-shell style casing. It's very easy to open, so you can dig right in as soon as you get it home. The paper insert pictures a sexy librarian-type brunette in a white jacket and lacy black bra, as you can see in the product photos. The only instructions included are on the back of the paper insert, informing you of the bullet's dimensions, battery requirements, and a very short description. Some information is in English and German only, while the one-line description is in English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Danish, and Russian.

The case is good for storage since they made it as small as they could. The insert is about the size of a standard playing card, and the case is just a little bit bigger than that. I appreciated the small size not only for storage purposes, but also for its eco-friendliness.

The Secret is such a great little vibrator and will definitely be a welcome addition to any collection. Besides adding some texture for grip and control, I wouldn't change a thing about it. I would recommend the Secret for anyone on the market for a new bullet vibrator. Some beginners might not be ready for its highest speed, but could definitely build up to it.
