Vibrator
by Javida

You Complicated Little Thing, You!

She may be short, but Javida is powerful and exciting. 10 different vibration, pulsating, and escalating options make her a fun and effective clitoral vibrator, while her short size, ribbing, and curves make her a viable g-spot option.

Use

The Javida small vibe strikes me as a decent g-spot vibe provided that you don't mind angling the toy and rubbing instead of outright thrusting. I've also noticed on the product page that Javida is given only 3 vrooms, but I don't find that to be true. I have several vibrators that have been rated as 4 vrooms that Javida keeps up with nicely. In fact, my favorite use for Javida is as a clitoral vibrator...a job in which she excels. Javida is also somewhat heavy, but smooth as well. I rather enjoyed when she was drug across my skin in a teasing fashion. She might have even spanked me a few times! She also offers 10 different vibration options, so she's really exciting for foreplay. On the other side of things, Javida is rather short which doesn't make her an optimal thrusting toy, and she has no base for anal play. In addition, while I have found some vibrators that appeal to my nipples, Javida only has a few patterns that really tickle me in that department.

The Javida isn't going to appeal to thrusters or size queens. She has a little bit of girth to her (see design/shape/size section) and a slight bulge, which is perfect for g-spot play. However, some might not appreciate those attributes being coupled with silicone that has some drag to it. Of course you could add a little water-based lubricant, but I'd personally find it to lack stimulation at that point. Finally, if you're looking for something waterproof, while Javida does look fairly well sealed, she isn't advertised as such. I can't advise testing her for it.

Material / Texture

The Javida is made of silicone, which is a 10 on the safety scale. Something that always puzzles me is using silicone for vibrators because while the material can be sterilized, the item really can't be. I suppose the non-porous, latex-free material is still the best choice, but wouldn't it be great to figure out how to make a sterilizable vibrator?! Silicone is also hypoallergenic and phthalates free. Phthalates are bad for the environment and can also cause health issues and birth defects in high doses. As another note on silicone, it does tend to attract lint and hair at times; the Javida certainly does. Javida isn't entirely silicone though. The battery cap on the Javida is plastic, though the push button used for control is still silicone. The Javida has no scent, and I enjoy this aspect of her. As for texture, the Javida is ribbed. The ribbing can be seen in this picture:
    • Bumpy
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

From Eden:
Color:
Purple / White
Length:
5 1/2"
Insertable length:
3 1/2"
Circumference:
4"
Diameter:
1 1/4"
Weight:
0.8 oz

You can see by the insertable length that this toy is easily aimed at g-spot stimulation. After all, my understanding is that most women have g-spots which are only a few inches in. There is also a slight curve/bulged area that seems like it was designed for g-spot stimulation. I've heard some say that Javida has considerable girth for her size, but I don't believe that's the case. It's not necessarily the girth, but rather the design and drag of the material that make this little vibe seem thicker. I would say this item is aimed at the average user rather than beginners or those who are very advanced in toy play. I personally enjoy this design for a warm-up, but it's not a toy that will get me to the finish line with insertion alone. As a clitoral vibrator, it is much more effective at pushing me over the edge. Here are some size comparisons (with every day items) that will give you a better idea:

The same white out bottle from a different view:

Functions / Performance / Controls

It escalates, pulses, and it vibrates. 10 different options keep things exciting.
1. low vibe
2. medium vibe
3. high vibe
4. vibe, stop, vibe, stop
5. pulses
6. vibration builds intensity, then 3 pulses
7. vibration builds intensity, then quick pulse
8. high low high vibe, 2 pulses
9. short pulses randomly with a solid vibration thrown in
10. sounds like someone revving their engine, 2 pulses
There is one button for all of this, and you must hold that button down for three seconds in order to turn Javida off. I consider holding the button to turn her off a pro since many vibrators make you go through each setting in order to power off. 2-AAA batteries are needed, but I wouldn't say she's a battery guzzler. I have left Javida on for twenty minute sessions several times over the past few days, and I don't feel a diminished energy from her. Javida is not really noisy, even on her various settings. While I might be able to hear her just slightly above the covers, there is no way that she would be heard through a closed door. Finally, once again, she is not advertised as waterproof, and since the battery cap twists on, I would not recommend her for it.
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

On the product page, the only care and maintenance listed is soap and water. While this vibrator can't be sterilized (despite her material), I believe that she can be washed with antibacterial soap and warm water, cleaned with any toy cleaner, or cleaned with wipes. I tested a 10% bleach solution on her, and there were no issues. She just can't be soaked due to not being waterproof, so I dip her upside down in the solution while holding on to the plastic part. I also used the Eden toy wipes on her, and with a little attention to detail was able to clean her well. The Eden wipes don't even leave lint on her. 100% Silicone should never be stored next to other pure silicone items, and water-based lubricant is suggested. I store Javida in her original packaging, which is quite impressive (see packaging section).

Packaging

Here is what the packaging looks like:

I actually really like the plastic case inside of the box. It keeps the vibrator from rattling around on her journey. What perplexes me is that the packaging has 8 languages on the back of it, but none are directed at the United States. Though one is in English, it seems to be more European English (if that makes sense). Basically, measurements are in centimeters. I wouldn't call the box discreet, but I wouldn't call it offensive. It does feature the shape of the vibe, but there is no nudity. I like that it is simple, and I'd stick a bow on it and gift it just as it's packaged. There really are no instructions, but I feel like one button and the 2 AAA batteries information on the bottom of the box are adequate. Finally, the box is small, which makes me happy to store Javida box and all.
    • Good for storage
Follow-up commentary
I still really like the small vibe. It has the right length and girth for just the right spot. It also just gives the impression of being "tidy." The design is clean, and the colors are cheerful.
