Worthy Long-Term Investment
I have had easily 400 to 450 orgasms with the Liv and even with the initial $160 we spent, that's less than $0.40 an orgasm, a more than worthy investment.

My partner and I purchased the Lelo Liv around Christmas 2008 and it has been a non-stop champion for us. We had an issue with the first one we bought and though it took a little bit of time and several email exchanges, Lelo honored their wonderful warranty and replaced the unit and we haven't had an issue since. The company is absolutely fabulous and we will most definitely be purchasing from them again.
The shape is wonderful for both insertion and for clitoral stimulation and the texture of the silicone coating is lovely, soft and supple. The luxury toy market was just revving up when we bought the Liv and she seemed gorgeous and classy and decadent then and she still feels that way now.
It was our first rechargeable and we haven't gone back to batteries since. The charge is quick, it lets you know when it's done, and it lasts us at least three or four uses before it needs to be charged again. (I'd say roughly two to three hours of use, sometimes more, sometimes less depending on what we're getting up to!)
Like most reviewers note, it isn't waterproof which can be annoying when using lube (It's also a slippery little fish! Watch out for the plastic of the handle with lube.) and when cleaning, but it's definitely an annoyance that has been worth learning to live with.
We've both gotten immense enjoyment out of it as a clitoral vibe in conjunction with an insertable toy (Usually the Tantus Goddess) and the curve is great for making sure it stays out of the way of energetic thrusting. The vibration patterns are nice and varied (I am personally very fond of the slow rolling whirr selection for teasing, while my partner LOVES the quick pulsation.) and the intensity variations are just right for us. Neither of us has gotten it to work particularly well as a g-spot toy, but I know that lots of other reviewers have had great luck with that, so it's a personal anatomy situation, rather than a toy deficiency.
After two years, my major complaints are still pretty small: the non-waterproof-ness, the occasional accidental setting change when I am using it face down on the bed, the lack of any real warning of battery drainage (The vibrations do lose intensity, but that's not really a warning so much as a obscenity-inducing-fury when you're using it!) but I and my partner have been extraordinarily satisfied with the Lelo. So much so that we've only recently begun to add new vibrators to our collection.
After that time, I have also noticed a decrease in vibration intensity, as though the motor is beginning to get sluggish, even when the unit is almost fully charged. After a fresh charge and at higher speeds, I rarely notice the change (The second to last intensity level is a nice, consistent sweet spot!) but the low speeds feel very sluggish and can be frustrating. I still don't regret the purchase at all and we have gotten a LOT of use out of the product, but for the amount we paid ($160 in January 2009) it's a little bit of a bummer to feel it losing some of its luster.
