This powerful, waterproof, dual stimulation vibrator is great for solo play. The simple controls and price make it a great vibrator for the beginner or advanced user!
This toy is intended for G-spot and clitoral stimulation - both alone or simultaneously. The Wild G can also be used to tease other parts of the body such as nipples or if not inserted, the curved end of the clitoral stimulator can nicely cup the clitoris to provide light or intense pleasure. Although the size of the insertable portion may be intimidating to some, it is just enough pressure to hit the g-spot with the rotating shaft.
You can use this toy right out of the box! Just wash off the toy, grab 3 double A batteries, put them in the battery pack, and you're good to go! The ease of the controls and design make the Wild G great for both beginners and the more experienced users. It is waterproof and can be used in the tub or shower. Just make sure the cap to the battery compartment is closed tight.
The Wild G isn't very discreet-looking or quiet, so if this is a problem, make sure to conceal it or use it where the sound won't be an issue. Traveling with it shouldn't be a problem. Just take the batteries out to avoid unwanted problems and make the batteries last longer. Although it is meant for solo play, that doesn't mean that you can't use it with a partner. This toy is also great for foreplay with a partner whether you want to spice things up or help get things going.
The outer material is TPR silicone, and it is hypo-allergenic as well as latex and phthalates-free. The material is a little squishy, but it is firm enough to provide pressure which helps make the toy more flexible and comfortable. The Wild G feels smooth with very little texture located by the battery compartment. The material is not without its flaws. It tends to be a lint and hair magnet. If I set down the vibrator, it would attract any lint and hair. I found it helps to set the Wild G down on a paper towel before use or to have a paper towel at your side if switching between toys to try and prevent this problem.
I have never had any problems with the material losing its quality or form overtime. When I first took it out of the package, it had a slight odor, but after washing it and using it a few times, it is not really noticeable - if at all. Since it is made of TPR silicone, you should use a condom if sharing the toy and not use it for anal play just to be on the safe side. Remember to also use water-based lubricants!
I love the shape of the clitoral stimulator (the bigger curved part reminds me of a platypus's bill, so I ended up nicknaming it the Platypus). At about 2.5 inches, it has a nice curve which works great for pleasuring the clitoris without needing to insert the shaft. The curve of the platypus's bill allows you to cup the clit while controlling the intensity of the vibrations. This is great for getting warmed up, having a clitoral orgasm, or multiple orgasms if you need a break from the rotating shaft. When inserting the g-spot portion, the two little "arms" on the platypus as well as the tip of its bill work great for making sure the clitoris is always in contact with the vibrator. One problem I had with the design of the control base was hand cramping and sometimes difficulty getting into a new position that allowed me to operate the toy as comfortably as when laying on my back.
The girth of the insertable part may be a little intimidating to some beginners (about 5 inches of insertable length), but after lubing it up and using it for a minute or so, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. The shape of the insertable portion is curved near the tip which is great for hitting the g-spot and applying pressure for an intense orgasm. Rotating beads located within the first few inches of the shaft feel almost massage-like and are a nice touch to this toy.
I love the simple controls on this vibrator! The controls are located on the battery pack at the base of the shaft. There are 2 modes: vibration and rotation which can operate simultaneously or separately, as well as a rotate option if you want to switch from clockwise to counterclockwise, vise versa. There are three intensity levels for the rotation and vibration modes. I found this vibrator to be powerful and great for giving that extra oomph to get off fast or slow it down if you want to take your time. That being said, I'm a simple person. I don't need a ton of fancy patterns and usually find them a bit annoying. If you are fine with basic yet powerful settings, this vibrator is great for that.
Another great feature of this toy is that it is waterproof. Take it in the tub, shower, whatever: it's good to go (just make sure you have the battery compartment sealed up tight!). I was also surprised how great it was on batteries. It kept up with the same intensity and speeds without needing to constantly replace the batteries (I used it for months and only replaced the batteries once). I highly recommend taking the battery pack out right after use/before cleaning to prevent the batteries being drained while the toy is not in use.
This toy is not without its flaws. When your muscles clench up, the shaft and beads might stop rotating. If this happens, just kick the intensity of the rotation up another notch and that should help. My first Wild G broke from the shaft just stopping regardless of how high I had the intensity up. I hope no one ever has to deal with their toy breaking as they almost reach climax (although most people probably have) because it sucks. I did not have this problem with my second Wild G so as long as you kick up the intensity, it should hopefully solve any problems that may arise. Other than that, I thought the rotating shaft and beads going around and around building up pressure and intensity were great and really helped with having a g-spot orgasm.
For washing the Wild G, just use warm water and antibacterial soap. Since it tends to collect hair and lint easily, I always wash it before and after use then place it back in the original packaging for safekeeping. Be careful to not place it in extreme heat where the material may melt or get damaged. If sharing this toy, a condom should be used since TPR silicone is semi-porous.
This toy did not have any instruction manuals or fancy packaging. It just had the plastic packaging that enclosed it which included a picture of some naked girl and a basic description of the product. The controls are pretty self-explanatory, so the lack of an instruction manual wasn't a big problem. The Wild G packaging was decent. I just wish it came with something to put the toy in after instead of just using the original packaging, but for the price, it can't really be expected.
I love the powerful vibrations, and for my first more serious toy, this delivered (for the most part). I have gone through two Wild Gs now because the motors keep breaking on me close to orgasm. The first one didn't even last 4 times! I am not very fond of California Exotic's return policy either. After paying for the toy that broke after light usage only a few times (they said it was a mechanical defect on their part), I still had to pay for shipping and handling to send it back as well as a money order for return shipping. The 30 day warranty isn't very good, but for the money spent on this toy, I think it's worth it. The replacement I received lasted much longer after moderate use, (a few days a week) so overall, I think it's a great vibe. If you are still fairly new to toys and want something more powerful or a dual stimulation vibrator, I would give this a try. If you are fairly experienced with toys though, I would save up for something more reliable, quiet, and powerful.
Overall, I had a great experience with the Wild G. I could go slow and take my time or get off in only a few minutes. The controls are simple and straightforward, and if you take the battery pack out right after use, they last a long time. I LOVED the clitoral stimulator! It really hits just the right spots every time, and I never had any problems when using it in the tub or shower. The length and girth of the shaft never really bothered me - especially with a little lube added. The intensity was powerful, and the rotating shaft was great. I had many good times with this toy.
Follow-up commentaryI've started to like it more3 months after original review
I liked it to begin with, but now I'm missing it more. When I wrote the original review, the toy had broken not long before. That was my second Wild G that had broken. Now, over 2 months after its death, I am considering buying yet another. For me, it's a lot of money to spend on something that will break eventually, either from my muscles jamming and breaking the motor while using it when I get close, or from poor design and getting a dud from California Exotics. If I didn't dislike their warranty so much, I would probably have gotten another one already. 30 days is not a long time for a warranty and the hassle to get a replacement was annoying. I waiting weeks, paid for shipping and handling, and sent a money order because California Exotics screwed up with their product. That is the main part I am unhappy about. The reason I put I've started to like it more is because I was terribly upset when it broke. I had my first orgasm ever with that thing. It could get me off in a matter of minutes, or be used in amazing long play sessions. Now I'm considering getting one again because, for the price and how much I loved it, it's hard to find another good quality rabbit without bumping up to LELO quality. Then again, I think it's time for me to move on and see what other great rabbits are out there. If you buy this product, just be careful not to put too much pressure on the rotating shaft or motors. If you purchase the Wild G, I hope you enjoy it as much, or even more than I did.
