Twisties are seriously lacking and not worth your time. The vibes are weak, it's tiny, awkward, and even though it comes with batteries - I can't find replacements anywhere!
I obviously used this vibrator for vaginal and clitoral stimulation. But it seriously fell short. It felt like a weak back massager. The PVC is very thick and didn't allow for the vibrations to penetrate well. Plus it was very small and couldn't reach my G spot, so it didn't do much for me vaginally.
I really hope no one buys this as a first vibrator, because I honestly think it might turn them off of sex toys. I can only seeing someone that's very sensitive getting any pressure out of this toy. I did find one use for this toy. It's a great teaser for my husband. It's not strong, so it doesn't send him over the edge. But it being weak leaves him craving more.
I thought the design was really interesting. That's why I wanted to try it. Looked like it could really get my spot right. Yet again I was disappointed. If it was a bit thinker and longer it would have reached. But it was just too small. And on top of that the vibes were poor to say the least.
I suppose its smallness is good for it being discreet, because it does hide well. But I don't think quality is something worth compromising for discreetness.
At the bottom of the PVC toy there is a ring. It twists on and off. So you only get those two setting. When you twist it open that where you put the very peculiar N size battery. Which it comes with two but you only use one at a time.
Thank goodness it came with two because it burned through the first battery so fast! I think it was like three uses and the batter was dead. Perhaps it was because of the batteries, and not just that it was a poorly made toy. But it did not preform well. There were weak vibrations even with fresh batteries.
Since the this toy is smooth it was very easy to clear. For the first wash, since there was a strong plastic smell I used soap and warm water. But after that I just used my favorite toy cleaner.
I'm horrible about remembering to take batteries out of toys while they are stored. but I made sure to with my Twistie. I had never seen, nor can I find, N sized batteries. So I tried to make them last as long as possible.
The only thing I checked on was the material compatibility between the toy, lube and cleaner. Since PVC goes along with jelly in the lube area. I made sure my cleaner and lube were safe to use on it. Not like I care not, that I know that this is poor toy. But hey better to be safe then sorry in the long run.
I received the toy in the usual plastic packaging. It came with no instructions. Just the toy and the weird batteries. It does say, how ever, on the packaging that it is water proof, and made of non phthalate PVC. And that you can get warranty information at the Doc Johnson website.
After inspecting the toy for awhile, I decided to go try it out. I was seriously disappointed. The vibrations were weak. I barely felt anything inside or out. I tried it a few time in bed, and the shower. It is intended for solely clitoral stimulation and G spot. But nothing. I couldn't come close to orgasming. I guess it's true what they say, every company puts out a flop once in awhile.
Not only was it weak but the N sized batteries died so quickly on me. I can't even find replacements at any store.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it21 months after original review
Well, it didn't take long, but Twisties died on me. The motor started losing power. I thought it was the batteries at first, which happens to me a lot. So I replaced them. But alas, nope. So I hung it on my wall. He's so silly looking, so he's hanging by my computer—many an interesting conversation. At least he has a use now!
