Waterproof Rhapsody
An average size and a single push button control make this toy an excellent starter toy. Waterproof for fun in the shower or tub, and powerful vibrations to get your motor revved up. This is a nice little vibe that is definitely worth a closer look.

Pros
Phthalate-free, waterproof, simple design.
Cons
Loud, smelly, control button is very easy to press during play.
The Evolved line of toys has had me curious for sometime. They all have the little push button controls, are made from either TPR and/or plastic and are moderately priced. I was pleased to discover that I was being sent the Waterproof Rhapsody for review.
Upon opening the box I noted a pretty red tin housing the blue vibrator. Most toys of this price range come in simple plastic casing, so I was a little impressed by the attractive tin. I imagine the tin would be lovely for gift giving, especially with the upcoming Holidays. This pretty little tin also works well for storing the toy. The tin is 10 inches long, 4.5 inches wide, and 2.5 inches deep.
Inside of the tin there is a foam cutout to cradle the toy. The foam top is black velvet and displays the vibe quite nicely. I noticed a strong chemical smell on the toy. TPR toys typically have a very slight aroma, but this toy rivals some of my Jelly toys in the stench department. Cleaning did little to nothing to lessen the smell. The toy states it is Phthalate free, but the smell makes me wonder about this claim. Silicone and water based lubes are safe to use with TPR, and I would suggest condom use for sharing as sterilization is not possible. While the toy smells, there is no taste. The TPR material is not tacky at all, but it does drag without adequate lubricant, so I would highly suggest a good lube with this toy.
The light blue toy is of fairly average size at 6 inches insertable length and 1 1/2 inches diameter for girth. The braid like texture offers some light stimulation during penetration, but it remains very comfortable unlike some large nubs and overly prominent ripples which may make a toy difficult to use. Although the toy does not have one solid core, it does have the battery pack, a core in the middle, then the motor near the end. These three parts keep the shaft firm but still flexible. One annoyance with this however, is the motor rattles inside of the TPR shaft. This rattling is much louder than the motor itself, but I rated this 3 bees because of the combination of the two.
When it comes to power, this vibe should satisfy most people. The 3 settings of Low, Med, and High should suit all but those who demand super powered vibes. The lowest setting was easily felt and great for warming up with. The High intensity was plenty to get me over the edge, but it wasn’t enough that I couldn’t bear it directly on my clit. I do believe the power is sufficient even though some may be disappointed by the lack of pulsation settings.
The rubber cote cap (which is velvety soft and feels lovely) screws off and the little battery tube slides out of the shaft of the toy. The two AA batteries sit side by side, and were easy to install. I use rechargeable batteries in mine and remove them for storage to avoid damaging the toy. There is a rubber O-ring seal to keep water out of the toy. I found no water inside of the battery compartment after a shower or even a bath.
For clean up, I always suggest using Before and After Toy Cleanser, though a mild soap and warm water does the trick too. Don’t worry about damaging the toy in the sink. As long as the cap is screwed on tightly there is no worry of water ruining it.

Experience
Being completely straight, the Rhapsody doesn't lend itself very well to g-spot play. I would also advise against using this toy anally as it lacks a flared base and would get sucked inside too easily.
During use the control button that cycles through "off" "low" "med" and "high" is easily bumped. Because I use this toy mostly on "high" my accidental button bumping causes it to shut off. This is mostly just an annoyance, and I think buttons on the side or else a dial base would be less frustrating during use.
Overall, this is a very nice vibe that has a few flaws. The loudness of the toy and the smell do detract a lot from the experience, so I give this toy an average rating of 3 stars. I do believe that with better construction, the motor would not rattle inside of the toy, so hopefully this is something that will be improved upon in the future. While I enjoyed using this toy for thrusting, I found it to be most pleasurable for clit play.
One last note, I've used mine for about 2.5 hours on a single charge (my rechargeable AA batteries) and I have not noticed a decrease in power as of yet.

With the smells some of these "Phthalate free" toys, I'm starting to wonder if there is some small acceptable amount that still makes is "free". Great review.
-
Huh, now that HL mentions it...that's kind of scary. I mean, you only need a small amount of silicone in a toy before you can call it "pure silicone."
-
Thanks for the comments Yeah, the smelly "Phthalate-free" toys have me wondering too. Yay for the return of smileys!
-
I love the smileys too... I was going to leave this one just for S&G!

Thanks Dame Demi! I like the purple color too...to bad I received the blue one, lol Oh well, the color doesn't matter too much when it's stuffed in my crotch anyways
-
Ooh, this one sounds good. I'm glad the texture is more subtle than other (mostly hard) toys.
