Waterproof Porcupine. But is it a good hurt?
Though this toy is undoubtedly unique, it is certainly not the right choice for everyone. This Turbo Slider's bumps and nubs, made even more obvious by the toy's hard material, are only suitable for those who really enjoy texture and can handle this toy. However, the vibrator's texture certainly does an impressive job of stimulating other erogenous zones and is a great toy if you're interested in some underwater fun.

**Use**
The Waterproof Turbo Sliders Red Scoop is a very unique toy but is not worth trying out unless you really REALLY like texture... or possibly pain.
Though this toy is designed for internal stimulation, there have been very few times where I have been so aroused that I was able to insert this toy without pain - or without nearly bleeding, for that matter. However, the few times I was successful with insertion, the unique texture - which I will address soon- was pleasurable. Its vibrations are very moderate, and I prefer to use this on my clitoris since its vibrations are weakened underwater.
The biggest selling point about this toy is that it is not only splash proof, but waterproof as well. Therefore, simply make sure the toy is sealed tight with the o-ring, and then feel free to submerge it in your bath or simply have some fun in the shower.
Though the toy is designed for underwater stimulation, its bumpy texture along with moderate vibrations does a wonderful job of stimulating all other erogenous zones including around the anus (do not insert due to lack of a flared base), clitoris, nipples, or even thighs and neck.
This vibrator is great to use either solo or by couples due to its versatility, or in the shower or bath by anyone who wishes to be discreet. However, I do not recommend anyone new to sex toys or sensitive to texture to attempt the use of this vibrator.
The toy should be capable of getting most women off but may be even more useful during foreplay.
**Material / Texture**
Immediately upon removing the toy from its packaging, I was glad to find that it was absolutely odorless. It appeared to have no defects and was translucent.
The insertable head of the toy is very textured with waves on the front of it and small bumps along its circumference. (Hence the nubbed/ribbed description). {See image 1}
The cap which opens the battery compartment as well as adjusts vibration strength is slightly textured with indents - especially helpful when using the toy in water. {See images 2 & 2.5}
Since the Turbo Slider is made of smooth, hard plastic, the texture is especially blatant. Plastic also has a rating of 8 on the EF material safety scale and has numerous safety features such as being non-porous and entirely phthalates free. The material is also safe to use with any lube.
**Design / Shape / Size**
The design of this vibrator is incredibly unique. I measured it to be approximately 6 and 7/8" in length with the cap comprising about 1.25" of it. The bottom of the vibrator is the bulb-shaped cap (3.75") which tapers down to 2.25" rights before the head which measures 3 1/8". It is a moderately slim vibrator with a comfortable handle and is a good length for partner play. Below, you can see the lengths of all the separate sections of the toy. {See images 4 & 5}
The textured part of the toy is intended to stimulate the genitalia and may or may not do a good job of that depending on your arousal level and personal preference. This toy can also easily bruise the cervix with hard thrusting or cause extreme pain or irritation due to its texture.
The size and sturdiness of the toy makes transportation and travel possible, though it is not discreet so I do not recommend storing it in public.
**Functions / Performance / Controls**
This Turbo Slider is considered multispeed and the vibrations of the toy are controlled by a dial base at the bottom of the vibrator. The textured dial base is easy to grip on to and is neither too difficult nor too easy to twist. This is great since you're not struggling with it, but it is also not adjusting when you don't want it to.
Though the toys vibrations are moderate, the dial base is a bit of a disappointment. When turned clockwise just a bit, the vibrator turns on and vibrates, but as you continue to twist the knob, it does not become much stronger. Rather, it appears the toy is just "more on".
The motor is located at the head of the Turbo Slider but can be felt throughout the entire toy, even when applying pressure. The vibrations are about 75% buzzy and 25% deep and rumbly. However, even the buzziness feels quite pleasant when pressure is applied to the skin. It is certainly best to use the tip of it against a clitoris or to glide the textured, bulbed head along other erogenous zones. Though the toy can be slightly heard behind a closed door, it is safe to use in the shower and is only slightly heard underwater.

**Functions / Performance / Controls** *Continued*
The Waterproof turbo sliders red scoop is powered by 2 AAA batteries, which are easy to place into the toy underneath a screw-off dial-base. The toy initially also comes with a printed insert that tells you which way to insert the batteries. Though the batteries are not included, the rechargeable SONY batteries I use are compatible with this toy, as are others. The o-ring in the battery compartment keeps this toy waterproof, so make sure you don't lose it. Unfortunately, the dial-base is difficult to screw back on without tuning on the vibrator. {See image 3}
This toy does not suck up battery life, and I have never had problems with malfunctions or any water leakage into the battery compartment.
**Care and Maintenance**
The Turbo Slider is made of nonporous plastic (which, according to EF's material guide, "can easily be cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water or by wiping down with isopropyl alcohol"). Luckily, this toy is waterproof so the main caution you need to take before giving it a wash is making sure the o-ring is secure and the battery compartment is closed tightly.
Seeing as plastic rarely has adverse effects when placed alongside other materials, I make sure to always dry off my toy entirely and store it in the plastic packaging in which it came. Due to plastic's stability, the toy is also safe to use with any lubricant whether it be oil, water, or silicone based.
**Packaging**
{See image 6}
The toy arrived in a plastic case which you can pop open and save yourself the hassle of trying to cut it open. The packaging has a picture of a woman in a bikini, gives the name of the toy as well as some characteristics of it, and is transparent. Therefore, the packaging is nothing special and very far from discreet. In the back of the packaging is an instruction manual which is very general and appears to be included with most California Exotic toys. The vibrator's presentation is OK for a gift, but not ideal.
**Experience**
Though I’m not a huge fan of this toy, it is my go-to when I am interested in doing something during a shower or bath. Though the vibrator is usually used clitorally, I do use it internally on occasions where my arousal is incredibly high. It is at these times that I can successfully insert the Turbo Slider without any pain or irritation. I think it may be possible to get something better for the price, but this vibrator is certainly one of a kind and worth trying out if you’re a big fan of texture.
