Wanna Wanachi?

I'm always searching for the perfect clit vibrator. The Wanachi Mini is one of very few that work for me, and is much less expensive than any of my other favourites.

Use

This vibrator is perfect for clitoral use, but works on any external areas. It can be used alone, along with other toys, or during intercourse with a partner. It is waterproof and quiet, which makes it great for anyone who needs discretion.

Material / Texture

The wand is made from silicone and plastic. The head is plastic with a coating of silicone, so it is non-porous and hard. The silicone feels pretty smooth, but has a very slight texture to it as you can see in this picture, which adds a small amount of drag. You can also see a small indentation line where the packaging dug into the silicone. This can be felt with my fingers but is not noticeable during use. The body of the wand and the white area on the bottom of the head are plastic. The neck is flexible, ribbed silicone.

Design / Shape / Size

The Wanachi is not the most attractive toy in the world, but it has a simple design and comes in several colours. At 7 1/4 inches long with a 1 1/4 inch wide head, it is small enough to not get in the way, but large enough that it is easy to hold. The handle is contoured and fits very comfortably into my hand. The head is cylindrical and has a flat top with a rounded off edge, rather than the usual sphere shape. I prefer to use the side of the head, so the shape doesn't affect it's performance for me, but some people might enjoy pressing the flat top against their clit.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The toy is controlled by a dial on the base and is very easy to use. It has variable speeds, but no patterns. The vibrations gradually change from low to medium, but jump from medium to high quickly.

High is very strong. I was surprised to find this much power from two double A batteries. It's not as powerful as a plug-in wand, but feels just as strong as my Mystic Wand, although it has a different type of vibrations. They are medium in pitch- not rumbly, but not the high, buzzy type that make me itchy. I have a hard time reaching orgasm and out of the 25 vibrators I own the Wanachi is one of 4 that I can orgasm with by simply placing it against myself rather than rubbing it across my clit. The others are the Inspire, Mystic Wand and Form 2, if anyone's curious.

The vibrations are focused in the head of the toy. They carry down into the handle, but not enough so that it irritates my hand.

This toy is quiet. It is barely louder than my cell phone's vibration and can't be heard through a door.

When I first used the Wanachi, the neck was quite firm and I was able to get a lot of pressure from it. After 5 uses the neck is more flexible and bends to a 45 degree angle pretty easily, resulting in less pressure. It still works well for me, but I'm hoping the neck doesn't continue to become more flexible the more I use it.

This is a waterproof vibrator and it stood up to cleaning and shower use. I haven't used it in the tub yet, but I did submerge it in my sink for about 5 minutes and no water leaked into the battery compartment, so I have no qualms about trying it that way.

Care and Maintenance

Although this toy has a silicone head it can't be fully disinfected, so use a condom if you want to share. Wash with antibacterial soap and hot water, or wipe down with isopropyl alcohol. Silicone lube can break down silicone toys, so stick with water-based to be safe.

Packaging

The packaging is a cardboard box with a picture of the toy on the front. It is simple and discreet, refers to the toy only as a massager, and doesn't show or mention anything sexual. The top and bottom of the wand are held in place by pieces of clear plastic which were a bit difficult to remove and led to the indentations in the silicone that I mentioned earlier. There are no instructions included, but none are really needed for this simple toy. The box is not very durable, so it doesn't work well for long-term storage.

Personal comments

The wand came with a piece of clear plastic inside the battery compartment, and I didn't notice it until I tried to remove the batteries. The outer battery slid out easily, but the inner one was lodged in place. I had to bang it on the counter to slowly work the battery to the end of the compartment. After I got it out, I threw away the piece of plastic and I haven't had a problem with the batteries rattling around inside the toy.
Follow-up commentary
I still like the Wanachi, but the neck has continued to become slightly more flexible over time which makes it harder for me to get enough pressure. I still use it, but only really in the bathtub where I can't use some of my favourite toys. I think it's a good vibrator, but it's not as enjoyable for me as it was when I first got it, and I have others that work better.
