This vibrating tongue ring is worth what you pay. Although it doesn't work how it's supposed to, with a little imagination you can get your five dollars worth easily.

Pros
moderate vibrations, easy to clean, fun and cheap
Cons
tiny yet feels large in mouth, doesn't stay on, minuscule battery life
The tongue dinger is intended for use on the tongue to improve oral play. However, it just doesn't work. The vibrator is too large to be on my tongue and stimulate my lover at the same time, and it constantly slides off the tongue, presenting a choking hazard. The best way we've found to use this as it's intended is to place it underneath the tongue instead of on top. With care, it can work quite well for... maybe ten minutes. Other than that, it works surprisingly well as a finger vibe or a cock ring. It's just about the perfect size to fit around your finger comfortably, and stretchy enough to fit around even the most well endowed man.
The ring is made out of TPR silicone. Since it goes on the tongue, you shouldn't be using lube with it, but if you had used silicone lube before using this, make sure to completely clean it off beforehand. It is safe with water-based lubes.
There is a bumpy texture on the top of the ring with many small, soft spikes and a few larger, more rigid nubs. These increase sensation as the toy vibrates and are gentle enough to be pleasurable for anyone. Around the inside of the ring are several small spikes intended to keep the ring anchored on your tongue, as well as two balls of silicone, which as far as I can tell are exclusively for aesthetics. The ring itself is incredibly stretchy - enough so that it can even fit around the base of my largest vibrator, which has a circumference of over six inches. Because of this, it's rather loose on the tongue.
There was no smell or taste out of the package and it seems relatively strong for being made of such a thin material.
The tongue dinger is at least rather cute. It looks like a miniaturized version of a cock ring. The only real color comes from the inserted plastic vibration bullet; the silicone itself is only slightly tinted to the color of your choice. It is very small (without including the actual ring, the vibe is only one inch long and about a half inch in diameter, like a cut in half AA battery) and may present a choking hazard if you are not careful. This being so, it would also be quite easy to lose, so make sure you keep it in a safe place if you wish to use it more than once.
Even though it's small, while it's in the mouth it feels way too large to stimulate a male partner while it sits on the surface of the tongue. If you use this on a female, it is much easier and is quite pleasurable while it works.
The vibration bullet has a single setting switch that originally was unprotected from saliva. After one use, either because it got too wet or because I got a faulty one, the switch shorted out and it has to be flipped multiple times in order for it to work. We decided to flip the bullet around in the sleeve to protect the switch from liquids; it is still perfectly operational while encased in silicone. The vibrations are moderate and to be perfectly honest are distracting and somewhat disturbing while in the mouth, especially when it vibrates against the teeth. Under ideal circumstances, it's pretty quiet, but when it bumps up against something hard or when it's not in your mouth, it gets a bit louder. The noise really isn't much in any case.
The material of the ring gets slippery when it gets wet, and the spikes around the inside of the ring don't make much difference. The ring slides off the tongue after a few minutes of use. After a while we gave up on trying to use this on our tongues and instead put it on a finger like it was a ring, using it to stimulate each other that way. In my opinion, this is a much better use for this toy. Another way you could use this would be to use it as a cock ring; its not as strong as other ones we've tried and therefore it allows us to focus more on the act itself instead of feeling like we're being slowly numbed by stronger vibrations. My husband was able to fit this around the base of his ~5" circumference penis easily and comfortably, and it will definitely stretch to at least a circumference of six inches, though I'm not sure if that would be too comfortable.
It is supposed to have only 40 minutes worth of battery, and short of hitting it with a hammer it doesn't seem like there's any way to get the old watch batteries out once they're dead. For the price though, it would probably be cheaper just to get a new one anyway.
Cleaning this toy is simple - just use toy cleaner or soap and warm water. It's a bit of a lint magnet so either keep it in the original packaging or in a lint-free bag. I would suggest washing it before and after use, just to be sure.
Being a TPR silicone product, this toy is not compatible with silicone-based lubes and should not be stored touching other silicone toys. Water-based lube is perfectly safe.
The tongue dinger was packaged in a blister pack with a cardboard insert. It boasts the usage instructions, "Place the ring under the base of the tongue with the vibrating bullet on top of the tongue. Press button to turn on." If only it were that easy.
I would probably store the toy in the package for the sole reason that its incredibly small and I'd be afraid of losing it if it wasn't.
After trying and failing to keep this on our tongues, we decided to use it as a finger vibe, for which it performed wonderfully. It can be used anywhere on the body as long as its not inserted anywhere, and the vibrations stimulate enough to tease nipples, balls, really anything you can think of.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it21 days after original review
Well, it held up about as long as we expected. A few weeks in, the batteries died. We went ahead and bought another one, because hey, for five bucks, it's a pretty decent little piece of work. The TPR held up very well, no tears or anything, which I was a bit surprised about with how thin and fragile it is. A good value, even if you use it as a disposable cock ring instead of an oral sex aid like us.

Thank you for the review. How does this feel and work during cunnilingus?
It seems kind of intriguing, but I understand how difficult it would be to keep in place.

Thanks for the review I have to say I don't find this one particularly appealing to the eye, but I like the concept of this toy. If it worked a little better I'd definitely give it a try.

@P'Gell: it feels like a combination between a textured bullet and a tongue, it's pretty nice. My husband could've easily gotten me to come if I had wanted him to.
@Everyone: Thanks!

Thanks for this honest review. I have had the same problem with all these tongue toys.
It seems kind of intriguing, but I understand how difficult it would be to keep in place.
