This vibrator requires 1 AA battery. It has 3 speeds, and it's controlled by the one and only button that you will find on the toy. The speeds are low, medium, and high. The vibrations weren't all that bad for me, but other might require more power. I don't require very powerful vibrations. You can not control the shaft and the clit extension separately, so that may be an issue for those who like to customize the vibrations and variety. Because of the silicone material, the vibrations are just a little buzzy. I like the depth of the vibrations on this vibrator, they feel very deep.
