This Rabbit Snob Approves!

Sugar Pop is a beautiful butterfly rabbit style vibrator that has so much to offer! The material is safe and squishy like jelly (without the smell!). It’s super powerful and offers a total of 16 different settings including patterns. The controls are easy to use. The clitoral attachment is long enough to be suitable for most women. I definitely recommend this butterfly if you love rabbit vibes! Sugar Pop has become my favorite rabbit so far.

Use

Vibratex’s Sugar Pop is a butterfly rabbit style vibrator. Like most rabbits, Sugar Pop is a dual stimulator. The shaft’s beads rotate and the clitoral attachment vibrates. I highly recommend this butterfly! I know it’s not hugely popular because as of right now Beck and I are the only ones to review it. However, it’s such a great rabbit! I love the material, the power, the cool shaft, and the clitoral attachment is amazing. As a self-proclaimed rabbit snob, I have fallen in love with this toy. If you are a fan of rabbit vibrators like me, then you should definitely try Sugar Pop! As of right now, it has to be in my top two favorite rabbits. I’ve tried tons of rabbits (probably around 15 so far) including a Jopen.

As I mentioned, I suggest this to someone who loves rabbits and knows that they work well for your body. It’s not cheap either, so make sure you’ve tried rabbits before. If you’re looking for a first rabbit, get a cheaper one first. Sugar Pop is suitable for all users because her shaft isn’t too huge. It’s average in size. The great thing about Sugar Pop’s clitoral attachment is that it is so long it will most likely work for all women. Plus, you can’t beat that power! I always need power in my toys, and this certainly delivered for me.

Material / Texture

I admit that my very first rabbit style vibrator was a jelly one. After having used that for a while, I learned that jelly wasn’t too safe for your body (unless you use a condom). Plus, it smells terrible and that jelly smells spreads to other toys! Even though I loved the Waterproof Jack Rabbit vibrator, I wanted to find a safer option. Preferably silicone, but at least plastic will do. I’ve tried tons of rabbits since then and my jelly toy has still been my favorite. That was until I received the Sugar Pop!

The Sugar Pop is made out of elastomer and plastic. It rates a seven out of ten on Eden Fantasy’s Safety Scale. It is hypoallergenic and phthalates free. The plastic is the white bottom of the toy while the actual butterfly itself is elastomer. The elastomer feels very similar to jelly. It’s squishy and comfortable. The little butterfly clitoral attachment is very bendable.

The pink material is see through. You can see all the beads and motors in the toy. I was a little worried when I first smelled Sugar Pop because it did have a faint smell. It isn’t a smell that you can smell everywhere. I had to press my nose to it to smell it. However, after a few washes I didn’t notice the smell at all. Now, it just smells like my tangerine Bath and Body Works Soap.

Sugar Pop looks like it has very intense texture, but it’s actually not that intense. The combination of the soft elastomer makes the ridges hard to feel when inserted. If you are extremely sensitive to texture, this may not work well for you. But, if you are generally ok with it and not too sensitive, you should be fine. There are little nubs on the clitoral attachment. They are soft and I really enjoyed them. They aren’t hard at all like Sugar Bump’s spikey ones.

There is a lot of drag to Sugar Pop so be sure to use a lubricant with it. There is a seam on the back of the shaft, but it wasn’t noticeable during use. It does tend to attract a lot of hair and lint so be sure to cover it when you store it.

Design / Shape / Size

Sugar Pop is designed like most standard rabbits with your shaft and clitoral attachment. The unique thing about Sugar Pop is that it has a butterfly and the shaft is unique. The Butterfly has little wings, antennae, and a whole body. There are even little hearts on the top of the butterfly (they are really hard to see!). Usually, rabbits have beads that are up and down and rotate. The Sugar Pop has rows of beads that are side to side. There are four sets. It actually looks really neat when operated. It’s hard to explain, but the beads rotate to the side and it’s pretty noticeable in sight and when inserted.

Sugar Pop is a total of 9 inches long. The insertable length is a little over four inches. It has a circumference of 4 ½” and a diameter of 1 ½”. It’s not the thinnest shaft; it’s fairly average in size.

Whenever I get rabbit vibrators, I usually measure the clitoral attachment. Rabbits are very anatomy dependent so I find knowing these measurements very helpful. The whole butterfly is 3 ½ inches long. I love that this attachment is longer. I always have issues with rabbits that have short clitoral attachments. With a longer attachment, it will fit most women. Even if it is too long for your taste, you can adjust that very easily. It’s much easier to work with a longer attachment than a shorter one.

When you insert Sugar Pop, the Butterfly’s antennae will reach at a little over 2 inches. If pushed down, it reaches 2 ½”. It is long enough for me.

Sugar Pop is a little big to travel with, but you certainly could if you wanted to. This is not a discreet toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Control Panel and Settings

Sugar Pop is operated by 4 AAA batteries. To place the batteries, simply open the bottom and place them in the loose compartment. Sugar Pop is operated by the control panel. You can operate the shaft and clitoral attachment separately or together, however you wish. There are 6 total buttons, three on each side. The right side operates the clitoral attachment and the left operates the shaft. The first button on the bottom row is the off button. This totally turns off either option. So, you don’t have to cycle through settings to turn it off. The second row is the on/up button. When you continually press it increases power in the clitoral attachment. The clitoral attachment has four basic powerful speeds. When you first turn it on, the light is green up top. Then it turns orange for the second two speeds, and the last powerful setting is red. The same button on the shaft’s side turns up the rotation. The shaft also has four increasing speeds, but the button always stays green.

The final button on the top row is for your patterns. The clitoral attachment offers four total patterns. In total, there are 8 settings.

1. Fast short pulses (same speed).
2. Slow long pulses (same speed).
3. Fast pulses increasing in speed.
4. Escalating up and back down.

The shaft’s patterns are as follows. It also has 8 settings.

1. Simply reverses rotation.
2. Reverses rotation, then back again very fast.
3. Shaft rotating the same direction in fast pulses.
4. Same as number three, but it reversed the direction it went.

In total, you have 16 options to choose from. That’s pretty impressive. I usually just stick to the steady vibration and no shaft. I’m not much of a shaft girl; I just love the feeling of the butterfly on my clitoris.

Shaft

As I mentioned before, the shaft has four straight across rows of beads that alternate rotation. One annoying thing is you shouldn’t really apply pressure to the shaft. For one, the box doesn’t recommend it and says you can break it with your hand. Plus, when it’s inserted and I put pressure on it, it greatly decreases the speed. It also makes this terrible grinding noise. This is not a shaft you can treat violently. You have to be gentle.

Power and Noise

This rabbit is a powerful beast. I mean, the first setting feels delicious to me, and I’m a clit of steel girl! The power combined with so much sensation over my clit makes this a go to toy for me. I would definitely give it a vroom of 5. It is sure to please most out there! The only downside to lots of power is that it can be a little noisy. I would probably rate it a bee of 3. It can probably be heard through the door at the highest setting. But, since I don’t spend too much time with this toy, that’s fine by me!

Care and Maintenance

The Sugar Pop is not waterproof. When you clean it, be sure to take care if you do wash it. I always prefer washing my toys so when I wash this butterfly I make sure to avoid the batter compartment and control panel. If you don’t want to take the risk, you can also use a wet wipe. I was a little worried that fluid would get stuck on the ridges at the top. However, even when fluid got stuck it washed off really easy.

Since the Sugar Pop is made out of plastic and elastomer, you can use either a silicone or water based lubricant.

    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Sugar Pop is packaged in a see through plastic case. When you receive the butterfly, it is placed in a plastic bag. Even though the package isn’t discreet, I like it because of its design. It has swirls of white lines all over it that look like a sky.

There isn’t a ton of information with the rabbit. The cardboard wrap around the bottom lists some of its main features. It talks about how to clean it and what lubricants to use. It also mentions not to get the controls or battery compartment wet. It’s not the prettiest box, but I think I’ll keep it to store the toy. I like the design.

Personal comments

I have fallen in love with this rabbit! I almost think I am starting to love this more than my Jopen, and that’s saying something! I just love its power and clitoral attachment. It is a little on the expensive side, but for me it’s totally been worth it! This is definitely five out of five star vibrator for me!
