The Life is best used as a clitoral vibrator during masturbation, foreplay, or sex. It's great because it can give pinpoint stimulation. It could also be used to tease the nipples or other erogenous zones if you really wanted to. I wouldn't use it internally because the shape is not right for it, and you don't want to loose it. Its leaf-like shape makes it really easy to hold, and it's waterproof, so you can play with it in the tub or the shower!

It's small, but its vibrations are pretty powerful, so I think many could use this alone and orgasm (however that might take some time). It's also fun to use it with another toy that can be used internally. Also it’s extremely quiet. You could practically watch a movie, cover yourself with a blanket, and no one would be able to hear it. I even tested this with some friends once. While we were playing Scene It, I turned this on under the blanket for testing if anyone could hear it, and they couldn't. However if you actually wanted to masturbate, I would not suggest this for other obvious reasons.

The Life is made out of a very soft, smooth silicone (safety rating = 10!). It is non-porous and hypoallergenic, as well as latex and phthalates free. I also noticed no odor at all when opening the box. The silicone is pretty rigid, but at the pinpoint tip it's a little bendy. I do not think it has much of a drag, but to make it less draggy, you can always use some lube. Remember to only use water-based lubricants with this toy since it is made of silicone (since silicone lubes can ruin silicone toys).

This toy does have some texture because of the logos and the ridges, but it has not affected play for me. It has a seam in the middle all around with a logo etched in the front and power stuff on the back. It is a bit more writing than on most toys, but since this toys for external use, it doesn't really have much effect.

It looks like a leaf...a bright green leaf. You could call it a paperweight. I'm sure some people who have used vibrators before might be able to guess what it is (especially if they saw the logo), but a parent or little kid wandering into your room probably won't say anything about it. It's also pretty small, so you can hide it in your purse or coat pocket. Its dimensions are 10.5 cm x 4 cm (4.1" x 1.6"). The Life has one button to control it. You push it to turn it on, but if you want to ramp it up, you have to push and hold for at least 2 seconds, or it will turn off. This can be annoying when you're trying to adjust it, and it just turns off, but then you just have to press it again to turn it back on. The easy turn off could be good in certain situations though. You can also lock it by pressing the button 3 times very quickly. For unlocking you do the same thing. Then it will not turn on as easily which could be good if you are carrying it around. It has different speeds but you can only really tell when it's at the highest and lowest because it stops changing. I'd say the highest vibrations are pretty strong (between rumbly and buzzy), but I'm sure there are things that are stronger. Fair warning though, it doesn't have any patterns, so if you are into those, then this might not be for you.

It's super quiet and definitely waterproof (tested both of those).

It's also rechargeable which is very nice for those of us who don't like batteries. Though I do have to say the Life does live on the charger quite a bit. Charging for an hour only get about one-two hours of usage out of it depending on what speed you have it on. Though depending on your usage, a one-hour charge could get you through a few sessions. I don't see charging it as too much of a pain, but if you tend to forget and hate to wait, this might become bothersome.

When it comes to cleaning, Life is really low maintenance. Just clean with water and soap before and after use - no difficult spots to clean at all. Since it's silicone, it can also be sanitized in a 10% bleach solution. Because of the motor though, I would obviously not boil it. Just remember to not put silicone lube near it.

As for storing, I store it along with its charger in the bag that came with it, or I just leave it lying on my desk sometimes (no one asks questions).

Life came in a pretty cool box. It’s a cardboard box that opens like a jewelry box with some pictures of the Life on the outside (no naked people though). It also comes with a little booklet of information. Also enclosed is a swanky, little bag with drawstrings along with the charger. The box and the bag are both really nice, and you get the whole "green feeling"/environmentally friendly idea from it all. Both are good storage places as well.

I will say that if I'm in the mood, the Life will do the trick in a matter of minutes. Other times, it takes a bit more time and another toy. The whole pinpoint stimulation is also amazing, if you haven't experienced it yet, I'd get a toy for it, because it's cool. I love that it's rechargeable and waterproof because then I don't have to worry when I clean it. I also totally dig the color of this vibrator. So all in all, this is my new favorite toy. It's just so cute, and it does what I need it to.
