The Vr5.5 is a rabbit style vibrator best used for self stimulation, although it can also be used with a partner. The rigid insertable arm has a bulge for g-spot stimulation and vibrations concentrated in the tip, while the flexible clitoral arm is long and has its own bullet for intense stimulation. Each arm or the Vr5.5 can be controlled separately, so you can have the vibration level you prefer both internally and externally.

This is an easy to use vibrator that will work well for anyone who likes strong and rumbly vibrations and doesn’t want a rotating shaft. It’s waterproof, so it can be enjoyed either on the bed or in the tub.

The Vr5.5 is made of silicone, a nonporous material, in the signature Jopen Vanity fuschia color. The toy is completely odorless, and doesn’t seem to hang onto any scents after washing. The silicone is soft and satiny, with a slight drag over the surface. The entire vibrator is smooth, and the only surface features you’ll notice on the base are the raised control buttons on the front under the clitoral attachment, and the charging port and small writing (voltage, recycling pictures, and powerbullet logo) on the back. There is a seam that bisects the toy vertically, but it’s barely detectable to the eye and can’t be felt at all.

The Vr5.5 is shaped like an elegant, cursive letter V. It’s all curves and sensuality, and the whole toy is about 7” long from the longest arm to the bottom of the base.

The long arm of the V is 4 1/2" insertable. This arm is firm with no give or flexibility whatsoever. It has a slightly tapered tip for easier insertion. The top of the arm has a bulge on the inner side that’s shaped to hit the g-spot. It’s about 1 1/2” at its widest diameter, and it will provide firm pressure for g-spot stimulation. The arm narrows down to about 1/2" diameter before it attaches to the base. The vibrations are concentrated in the tip, but travel well down this entire arm and even into the base.

The clitoral attachment is the shorter arm of the V. It has a graceful, elegant curve to it. This piece is about 3” long, and it’s very flexible. It should work for clitoral stimulation on most women, and the vibrations are strong down the entire arm.

The Vr5.5 can be locked, so it’s ideal to travel with.

The Vr5.5 arrives locked, and must be unlocked to use. It can be unlocked by holding down both buttons together for about 4 seconds. The bottom button will backlight in red, and both buttons will backlight when the Vr5.5 is unlocked. The same procedure locks the toy – press both buttons for about 4 seconds (both will backlight red), and when it locks, the lights will go out.

This is a rechargeable vibrator, and it should be charged for 3 hours before its first use. The charging adapter is easy to insert into the charging port on the back of the toy, and the port will be lit with red while the Vr5.5 charges. When the charging is complete, the light will go out. It will run several hours on a single charge; how long will depend on the vibration strength you use it on.

The Vr5.5 is powered by 2 powerbullets; one bullet is located in each tip of the V’s arms. These bullets are independently controlled by the two front buttons on the base of the toy. The top button controls the vibration strength of the bullet in the insertable arm, while the bottom button controls the vibration strength in the clitoral arm.

It’s easy to use the Vr5.5. To turn on either bullet, simply press and hold the corresponding button until the vibration intensity is reached. The buttons will flash in backlit red light when pressed and held, and they will flash faster according to the intensity level. At the highest level, they become steady, and are steadily backlit when your finger is removed. To turn off, simply tap the button.

The vibrations in each arm are very strong, deep, and rumbly. They are also quite quiet – even when the Vr5.5 is not inserted it can barely be heard from a few feet away, and when inserted it’s virtually silent.

The Vr5.5 performs well in the water, and is not noticeably louder when used submerged in the tub.

The Vr5.5 is easy to care for. It can be washed, both before and after use, with mild soap and warm water or cleaned with a toy cleaner, and dried thoroughly before storing in its bag or box. Only waterbased lubricants should be used.

The Vr5.5 comes in the Jopen signature white box, with the Vanity V logo, Vanity by Jopen, and the model on the top. Only the product name is on the sides, and the bottom has a picture of the Vr5.5 and lists its features. The box bottom also has a qr code that can be scanned for more information online.

Inside the box, the Vr5.5 is nestled in a lilac cardboard holder. Lifting out the toy and the cardboard reveals the charging adapter, black storage bag (large enough for both the adapter and Vr5.5 if you choose not to use the box for storage), pamphlet with information on the entire Vanity line, and a translucent sheet with product information and registration information for the one year warranty and optional 10 year replacement guarantee..

This is my 4th Jopen toy in the Vanity line, and it’s another one I really love.

I wasn’t expecting the insertable side of the V to be so rigid, but I’m glad it is – it keeps it from bending and allows me to get the pressure I need for g-spot stimulation. While the stem is fairly narrow, the head has a decent size. It also has some fantastic vibrations.

The clitoral stimulator on the Vr5.5 is great! It’s very long and flexible, and because of this, I can actually thrust with the Vr5.5 and maintain contact with my clit – something that’s mostly impossible with other rabbits I’ve used. Typically with a rabbit, I’m more “insert and enjoy”, but the design of this one lets me thrust against my g-spot when I’m getting close and helps me have an orgasm that’s not just clitoral, but g-spot as well. The vibrations are nicely strong in the clitoral arm, and they travel so completely through it that, as long as I’ve got part of it hitting my clit, they arouse it. While I can feel the vibrations in the base when holding the Vr5.5, they don’t make my hand numb even after a long period of use.

I like the button placement, and the buttons aren’t hard to use at all. I may be used to how they work from the other Vanity line toys I have, but it’s easy to either shut off or increase intensity, and I don’t have too much of a problem accidentally turning it off when I mean to go higher.

I love the charging system: the adapter’s easy to attach, and it stays in place. The adapter is compatible with my Vr9 as well, so that’s another plus.

This is probably the smallest of the Vanities that I have, but it’s certainly large and long enough to work. I love that it has a locking feature, as this will make it great to take on vacation in my luggage. It’s not the most discreet looking toy, but as long as it doesn’t start to vibrate in my carry-on, I won’t be worried if the TSA has to take a closer look at it.
