The Mini Gyrating Thumper has become my favorite road trip vibrator. It's small, has multiple vibration settings, and doesn't turn on in my bag when I forget to take the batteries out for the trip! Since the Thumper is waterproof it goes beyond just a clit simulator. You can use it externally or internally, but keep in mind that it is 3 3/4 inches long (insertable length) and will not go as deep as other toys. The width of Thumper may be smaller than other toys, but it is satisfying enough to use for penetration and actually feel something more than just the sensation of it sliding in and out like thinner toys. When I really get going it's also nice to have the wider end to hold onto which allows for easy movement and control. I have used the Thumper in combination with other toys, but it can certainly hold its own as a toy to use by itself.

The Mini Gyrating Thumper is made from ABS plastic which ranks eight on Eden's safety scale. The best part is that this does not feel like a cheap plastic toy! The coating makes it feel closer to a silicone toy and is often described as velvety. However, since it is made of plastic it is rigid and will not bed or flex like some silicone toys will. There is no strong scent to it even when smelling it right next to your nose. If you are very sensitive to odors I suggest cleaning it right after you get it out of the package because it does have a plastic scent when it comes out of the package. The plastic does not have a taste. Overall the material is good quality for what it is.

The Mini Gyrating Thumper is a cone shape with soft bulges which gradually increase in size. Insertable length of the toy is 3 3/4 inches with a total toy length of 5 1/8 inches. Each bulge is a slightly different circumference which ranges from the smallest bulge with a circumference of 3 1/4 inches to the largest bulge circumference of 4 5/8 inches. The Thumper (as noted earlier) is made of ABS (plastic) and has a soft coating rather than a hard plastic feel. It uses two AAA batteries which can be set into the bottom of the toy by twisting and removing the cap. Thanks to the O ring and other design features the toy is waterproof and safe to use in the shower or bath. I fully submerged the toy into a sink full of water and nothing appeared to get into the toy. The overall design is simple, but also a quality design that makes the Thumper a great starter or cheap vibrator for your toy collection.

The controls on this vibe are pretty basic. There is a button on the largest end which you press to turn it on, rotate through the three vibration settings, and then turn off. I wish that there was an on/off button in addition to the vibration setting button rather than having them combined. Unless you are on the highest vibration setting you need to press the button again before it turns off. So, if you are very sensitive after you reach an orgasm you just need to be aware of this so that you can move the toy before throwing off your release.

Each vibration setting increases slightly from the one before it. I wouldn't say this toy "gyrates". However, it does give some vibrations with a little kick. It matches up to other more expensive vibrators that I own if you are just taking into consideration the three basic vibration settings. If you are looking for something with some serious vibration you may want to look elsewhere.

I mentioned above that I take this vibrator with me on business trips, but I should add that I would not use it with anyone else in the room. It is not extremely loud and is much more quiet while being held with your hand or inside the body, but it does make a loud enough noise that it can be heard within a room without the door being shut. You do not need to be concerned about someone hearing it if they are outside your door. If you are needing some time away you could use it in the shower too!

The Thumper is very easy to care for and store! It is easily cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaners. Since it is waterproof you don't have to worry about getting water inside it. I store it inside a cloth bag and have it ready to go on the road or have it sitting in my toy box.
