This was my first vibe, and it certainly opened my eyes to the beautiful world of sex toys! It is slender, perfect for a first-timer, has multiple speeds that pack a pretty powerful punch, but can leave something to be desired for someone more experienced with vibrators. Its hard plastic shaft does not exactly seem too appealing for insertion in the vagina (but it can definitely be used that way if done carefully), and since it has no base, it should not be inserted into the anus. It is great for clit stimulation, breast/nipple play, and just fun for all over, especially with different speeds for some teasing fun! It is a fun first-time toy, and is pretty "vanilla" as your first sex toy, making it especially good for introducing sex toys into your partner play.

The dial on the bottom controls the vibration speed, and for me, especially as a first-time vibe user, packed a pretty good punch on a middle setting. After gaining more experience in the sex toy world, however, it has become one of my less frequently used toys as it has seemed to lose its vibration power over time and use and is a bit too elementary. This toy doesn't really seem to be built to last, but you definitely get what you pay for and then some, seeing as it is so cheap!

The Sparkle Vibe is made of plastic. It has no smell and is cold and hard, as you would expect from plastic. It is smooth in texture with a pointed tip for spot-on clitoral stimulation. It is definitely a texture for beginners, and overall a toy for beginners. It is very inflexible, making it not exactly ideal for insertion in the vagina, and lacks a base so it is NOT safe for anal insertion. It is a straight line with no curves at all for any sort of G-spot stimulation.

As my first vibe, the Sparkle Vibe was a fine design. It is very traditional in its design and shape. The Sparkle Vibe was reviewed as a good first-time vibe, and it was exactly that. It is slender, and after becoming more experienced, started to feel a bit too slender and didn't have enough oomph. It most definitely is a vibe with the perfect size and shape for beginners, but can still be used as a warm-up toy for more advanced users.

It is quite small, making it very easy to hide. It is discreet and suitable for travel and could easily be stored almost anywhere, even in a purse! Watch out for the tricky dial on the bottom that tends to turn on by itself, though. For best results when traveling, remove the batteries.

In the beginning, the vibrations were very strong. The Sparkle Vibe did lose its strength over time, though, despite fresh batteries and very good care. The vibrations are located in the base, but since it is hard plastic and short, they travel through quite well and still deliver a good stimulation. The dial on the bottom which controls the vibration speed is easy to use - almost too easy. If not stored in a plastic case, it can be easily turned on by bumping into other toys or objects. The toy gets more noisy with more use, but even at its highest setting, it is not too noisy. It is not built to last, but for the price, you definitely get good usage out of it. It does not say on the packaging that it is waterproof, but it has survived fine through my usage in the shower and thorough washings. It does not eat through batteries, but they do need to be changed after a month.

The Sparkle Vibe is very easy to care for. It can be stored anywhere. I store it with my other sex toys in a cotton bag, and it works just fine in there. It is compatible with any water-, silicone-, or oil-based lubes. It can be used for clit stimulation with a dildo for insertion, it can be used as a warm-up toy, or it's great solo for beginners. It is easy to clean with warm water and soap, or with toy wipes. This toy is very low maintenance.

The packaging is not very discreet and not good for storage, but it does have instructions included in the packaging and it would be great for a bachelorette gift.
