The Original is good but...
While the Elise original is good the Elise 2 really does beat it hands down. The silicone is nice and the metal band is a magnet for secretions. The plug over the charging port became an issue for me with use.

Elise from Lelo
Elise the original is a great vibe with multiple levels of vibrations and patterns. It does have a slight curve to it so it is good for some for g-spotting. It is splash proof but not waterproof and it’s rechargeable. It is made from a velvety type of silicone that glides across your skin.
Material/Texture
The Elise is made from a soft velvety type of silicone and plastic. The silicone really doesn’t collect much lint or hair just a little. There is no smell or tastes to the silicone. Both of the materials are non porous, hypo allergenic. Phthalates and latex free. There is a metal band that runs around the shaft separating the silicone from the plastic portion. The silicone does have some drag to it so you may need to grab some water based lubricant. The Elise comes in pink, purple and black. The Elise is completely smooth with no textures present. There is a slight seam that cannot be felt with use.
Size/Shape/Design
The Elise is 9 inches long with 5 ½ inches of it insertable. Elise’s largest diameter being 1 ¼ inches, the smallest diameter at the base of the control area is one inch. There is a slight curve to the Elise that may help some with g-spotting. There is a metal band at approximately 3 inches up from the end with the charging part. The end charging port has a flexible plastic cap over the charging port. The control pad is a round area that is located at 1 ¼ inches up from the charging port.
Functions
Elise has a round touch pad for controls, the touch pad is encircled with a light up area. To lock and unlock the Elise you push down in the center of the pad and hold for a few seconds. The pad has an up arrow, a down arrow, - and + s buttons. To turn Elise on you press the + button. To turn off you press the - button multiple times or press the middle of the pad to turn off immediately Elise actually houses 2 motors. One motor is near the end of the toy and the other motor is near the control panel. Elise does have memory and if you press the middle button to turn it off , it will come back on with the same setting that you were at.
Her vibrations are on the rumbly side. She rates about a 4 out of 5 on vrooms, she is very quiet and can barely be heard over the covers. She has 8 levels of vibrations.
1. Steady vibrations in both motors
2. Steady vibrations in lower motor
3. Pulsations at same time both ends
4. Alternating pulsations
5. Higher levels of vibrations in both ends
6. Constant vibrations with pulsing alternating
7. Faster alternating pulsations
8. Higher level of vibrations with alternating pulsations
Elise is rechargeable with the plug in on the end. It takes approximately 4 hours to charge with at stand by charge holding about 2 weeks. It will run for 4 hours on the 4 hour charge. Elise is splash proof but not waterproof with the plastic cover on the charging port. The light up area surrounding the control pad lights up when charging and when it is in use. I did find that I continually hit the cover off of the charging port when I used the toy and it seemed to loose power when pressure was applied to the toy.
Care/Maintenance
Elise cleans up with antibacterial soaps and water, toy sprays or wipes. You cannot boil or place in the dishwasher due to the motor. You have to pay special attention to the metal band when cleaning Elise. You can wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution also. Elise comes with a storage pouch that you can store it in or store it in a baggy away from other toys so that the finish doesn’t get ruined. Use only water based lubricants so that too won’t ruin the finish when you use silicone or oil based lubes.
Packaging
Elise comes from Lelo with an outer box with the product on it and some product info, inside is a black box with a lift off cover, you receive the Elise, the charger a storage bag and a booklet about Elise. Elise does come with a ten year warranty and a sample of the Lelo lubricant. Lelo has great presentation in their packaging.

Experience
While this is a strong good vibe, it doesn’t measure up to the Elise 2. That review is coming. While the vibrations can be rated at a 3 out of 5 on the vrooms and they are runbly, the Elise 2 delivers more. It is very quiet and it has the two motors that wont disappoint.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
This one is just OK, the 2 is better but this just isn't one of my favorites, I have barely used it and it has moved to the bottom of the toy pile. The INA and Mona 2 are so much better.
