The not so wavy-G
Pipedream's Silicone Fun Vibes Wavy-G garners points for a good effort, but the execution of a great idea is sadly lacking.
Published:
Pros
Made of TPR silicone, inexpensive, pretty color.
Cons
Vibrations aren't strong enough at head of vibrator; the vibrator is too big.
Imagine yourself, if you will, in my place: you want a new G-spot vibrator. It needs to be phthalates-free, possess a curve or bump adequate for G-spot stimulation, have a powerful but quiet motor, and be large enough to be filling without causing pain. A pretty color would be nice as well.
Pipedream’s Silicone Wavy-G|Silicone fun vibes wavy-G fulfills three out of the above five requirements, and so it receives three out of five stars from me–I give it a firm grade of “okay” but not “great.” The wavy-G is indeed phthalates-free, being made at least partially of silicone (the package claims “medical grade” silicone, while EdenFantasys states that the wavy-G is made of TPR silicone, a thermoplastic rubber-silicone blend). I would rather err on the side of caution, so the good news is that it’s safer than jelly-style toys and lacks the distinctive odor that many inferior materials possess. The bad news: TPR silicone cannot be treated quite like pure silicone, and you should never use silicone-based lube with this vibrator! Again, to err on the safe side, use a condom if you plan to share.
The wavy-G possesses a very prominent set of bulges: the first is at the tip of the vibrator, while the second is about an inch further down the shaft. These bulges, in theory, provide ample G-spot stimulation; sadly, this is where I come to my biggest problem with this vibrator. The wavy-G is just too big for me: the bulges, each with a circumference of 5”, seemed manageable but proved more uncomfortable than they were stimulating. Despite my efforts to make the wavy-G work, thrusting was uncomfortable and the actual G-spot contact was surprisingly minimal.
Like its shape, the wavy-G’s motor is a good idea with mediocre execution: the motor is blessedly quiet, sounding like a dull whine on its highest setting. Still, powered by only two AA batteries, the motor just couldn’t provide ample vibrations to the thicker portions of the wavy-G. Even at the highest speed it was more effective to rub the lower part of the shaft over my clitoris than use the head of this vibrator internally OR externally. This sex toy certainly isn't for "vibration junkies"!
This was a good concept: a shaped vibrator, made of silicone, designed to hit the G-spot. Unfortunately, the execution was lacking, especially the ‘vibrator’ part, and so I can only give the wavy-G two stars for effort.

Nice review! A toy only has to contain something like 5% silicone for manufacturers to use the term on packaging, so it can be very misleading.
-
Glad you liked it! Funny thing, CW - PipeDream claims that the Wavy-G is ALL silicone, and "medical grade" at that. However, I don't want someone to try the 10% bleach method of cleaning and end up with a ruined vibrator.

PipeDream calls it medical grade!?!? That's an atrocity!

I'm sorry this didn't work out for you, but thank you so much for warning the rest of us! This one's finding its way OFF my wish list.
