The little dildo who...sort of could
This is a step in the right direction as far as G-spot toys go, but it's too difficult to use and not powerful enough to really blow you away.
Published:
Pros
It's pretty, versatile, and has reasonably strong vibrations.
Cons
Frustrating to use due to its thinness and ultimately not powerful enough.
So next up in my attempt to achieve reliable g-spot orgasms was the "Bling Bling Shimmer G" (I know, how can you take that name seriously?). I chose this largely because it was exactly the opposite of the Deep Suction Waterproof G-Spotter, which I found far too soft for G-spot stimulation.
This is a very *pretty* vibrator--I got the purple version. It is also very thin--about the size of your thumb. Luckily, it is longer than a thumb by a fair bit. Due to this thinness, unless you are truly abnormally small, the little raised hearts adorning the top third of the vibrator are decorative only.
The vibrator is a hard plastic, so it definitely was able to stimulate my G-spot. The vibrations are fairly strong--surprisingly so for such a small vibrator, similar to the Hummingbird. This is probably aided by the stiffness of the material. Unfortunately for me, it is the higher-frequency buzzy type of vibration, rather than the lower-frequency humming kind, which means that it tended to tickle me on the way in. If you like the sort of vibrations that the Wahl gives you, this is probably a good vibrator for you.
Since I usually like a good amount of girth in my dildos, I was a bit worried that I would find this super-thin vibrator|Bling bling™ shimmer G to be a disadvantage. It turned out to be both good and bad: the thinness allowed me quite a bit of freedom in how I maneuvered the vibrator, which meant that I could try a bunch of different ways to stimulate my G-spot. However, this also meant that when I found a particularly nice way, it was difficult to keep the vibrator in position. This made the experience a bit frustrating.
I tried a few things: I tried fucking myself with the toy, hoping that the tip would rub against my G-spot. Unfortunately, this vibrator was just too small for that to work. I tried angling the vibrator so the tip hit my G-spot firmly to see if the vibrations were intense enough to be good, but they were too gentle for me. (I tend to need intense stimulation though, so if your problems tend to run to being over-stimulated or over-sensitive, this could work for you.) I tried repeatedly hitting my g-spot with the tip of the vibrator - that was actually pretty nice, but too difficult to maintain. Similarly with fucking myself with only the tip of the toy, such that I could maintain pressure on my G-spot.
So, as far as giving me G-spot orgasms|G-spot: How To go, this toy was a bit of a disappointment. It's definitely a step closer to G-spot fun than my previous attempts, but it really made me feel like even just using my hands would be more effective.

Hard plastic does transmit vibration better than most. It looks like it'd be a better clitoral stimulator, given the size and texturing at the top.

Awesome review. That is all.
