The first toy you ever bought.
The Pocket Rocket is a legendary vibrator that lives up to its name and proudly displays it as if it was found on infomercials. For those of you who want a product that has been trusted for a long time, want the power, and can overlook the flaws, this may be for you. However, for those of you who like to make a better investment, try something a bit better built. In this case, power isn't everything.

Pros
Cheap, powerful, trusted, travel-friendly, discreet.
Cons
Not waterproof, unsafe materials, hard to clean, annoying controls, poorly built, noise.
The Pocket Rocket has some notoriety among the sex toy community. It is the first sex toy you and your mother bought, and those who lack the curiosity may be satisfied with the powerful vibrations delivered by such a little thing. It's the kind of toy that you keep replacing because you don't want to indulge in something better, and you know it's rather normal to have one of these around. Doc Johnson seems to know about its product's legacy, as the product's name is plastered over the clam shell package as if you've ordered it from an infomercial. The white, shiny covering of the product bears its name like a badge of honor. There is no need for it to be discreet, it is one of the most sold vibrators in the world and those who don't know this just assume it's a weird neck massager from the discount rack at Target. If nosy eyes do peer upon it and recognize it, they will not think of you as a pervert because it has become a normal household item.
What has brought the Pocket Rocket to its fame? Probably the fact that is very travel-friendly and inexpensive. It is covered in the same kind of smooth, but cheap feeling, plastic that is used in children's toys. The shape of the Pocket Rocket and how it's built reminds me of a flashlight. There are no buttons on the Pocket Rocket; you simply twist the base in certain ways to control it. You turn it to one setting to turn it on, and one setting to turn it off. A big twist removes the bottom to insert the AA battery. This presents a flaw in the design, as sometimes you try to turn the toy off and instead the batteries will fall out. There are no options to control the speed, just one buzzy (but strong) sensation coming from the top of the toy. However, I do find that when I'm low on batteries or if the base isn't twisted right, the speed will be much less intense. This can be very frustrating when you're trying to achieve an orgasm. I feel sometimes like I have to fight to climax from this toy. For the price of the toy, I wish that it had buttons instead of this odd twisting system. This would solve a lot of the issues I have with it. I also wish the toy was just built out of a much better quality, thicker material. It is completely unsafe to be in contact with any water while using this toy, and sometimes I fear that it will give me a shock. This makes it hard to clean, and therefore may collect germs. I would suggest trying to clean it with a sponge after the batteries are removed and then thoroughly dried.
The toy itself has three, shiny balls on the top and comes with a clear cap that has little hard "spikes." I normally use it with the cap on, because otherwise I would find the vibrations way too strong and I enjoy the feelings of those bumps. For its size, I'm surprised this thing causes such strong, buzzy vibrations. Though strong, they seem to feel somewhat uncomfortable after prolonged use. The toy lives up to its name; it feels like someone is blasting a rocket at my clitoris! The rigidness and shape of the toy makes it somewhat difficult for me to find the perfect position where those very strong vibrations feel just right. But when the stars align in the right place, which they always do after some fussing, this toy truly does send you flying into space! In exchange for its intense power, it uses up batteries extremely quickly and there comes a time where you have to retire the overworked thing.
The noise it makes can barely be heard from behind a closed door, under sheets. For those of you who crave a really intense sensation that has been trusted for many years, the Pocket Rocket may be a good first choice for you if you have a good supply of batteries around the house. However, if you are willing to make the investment, I would highly recommend going with a much higher quality vibrator. You will probably save money in the long run because you will need to buy a lot of batteries and replacements for the Pocket Rocket in your lifetime of use. Perhaps it would be better to use it for its other advertised use: delivering a neck/back massage. Treat yourself to something better and look at all the other higher quality products Edenfantasys offers; you deserve it.

Follow-up commentary

This toy has been long retired by other, better toys. I will always remember this as my first real toy experience, but it remains better in the past. Purchasing a quality vibrator made out of a safety material and with a rechargeable battery will save you more money than it costs to replace your Pocket Rockets' batteries/replacements.
