Thankfully, there is no smell to this bullet! I did not bother to taste the vibrator. I don't usually lick on my vibrators lol. The one thing that seems to be a problem with this toy is that the battery compartment is tricky when changing batteries. The batteries are easy to put in but, the compartment in which the batteries lye has to be placed a certain way in order for the vibrator to function. You just have to make sure that the coils over the top rests firmly on the bronze top of the battery compartment and that may take some time.
