There was a strong chemical smell when I first opened the box, but after a couple of washes the smell has subsided for the most part. Its made of plastic for the most part. It is hypo-allergenic and latex free, so it's safe for most people to use comfortably. The retrieval cord is made of plastic as well and is pretty similar to earphone cords or wrapped wire.

Even though its made of plastic, the material has a powdery or velvety silicone feel to it. It's smooth and texture free. This makes it easy to insert without a great amount of drag. However, there is a ridge where the egg separates for the batteries. Those who are seam sensitive may want to watch out for this since it is rather sharp.

The egg is about the length of my thumb. It's slightly thicker towards the cord than it is at the tip and has it's widest point at the seam which is towards the middle. The tip is flat, and about the size of a quarter. It's great for applying pressure where you want it. Although the design isn't my favorite, I'm in love with the results.

This egg is complete with an attached retrieval cord to ensure that it does not get stuck. Although it takes some skill to maneuver at first, once you find the best way for you; it's easy.

The remote is slightly bigger than the egg, but much thinner. It has a curved design for easy handling with buttons designed to be at thumb level. It's actually pretty comfortable.It also has a cord, which can be attached to a key-ring or wrapped around the middle finger to avoid drops.

The Egg Vibe is small and easy to store and keep hidden. I keep mine in a lace bag inside of my pillowcase just in case the mood is right. Even if you happen to forget and leave it out, it will most likely go unnoticed or unrecognized.

On the remote, there are two buttons. The first is the power button that pops in and out which is nice, because if it is popped in and not turning on, you know that the batteries are dead. There is also a red light indicator below the buttons. The second button is the function button. There are 7 patterns that you can go through and 3 different speeds. The power and function buttons have white printed symbols on them. Be careful, because this wears off easily.


This is where I got frustrated the most. The remote idea is awesome, however there is major lag between the remote and the egg. Changing speeds, settings and even turning it on or off are almost impossible. I had to turn it on and off multiple times before I realized that I just had to wait... and wait. It's very noisy, so don't use to say, a family dinner or meeting the future in-laws. It's waterproof, so it's perfect for a nice, quiet bath though. The vibes are not that strong at all, in fact, when I used it in the shower the water stream felt better than this, but it is relaxing and perfect for setting the mood. The battery life on this thing is horrible. After about 20 minutes of my first use, it was dead. That might be OK if it had stronger vibrations and was rechargeable.

This toy is easy to clean. Just wash it with soap and warm water and that's it. You can also use your favorite toy cleaner. It is always suggested to wash your toys before and after each use.

I love this toy for the fact that the remote is wireless. Actually, that's the whole reason I purchased this specific product. For me there wasn't really a targeted area of stimulation, but it was exciting nonetheless. Who can resist a toy that has a 30 foot range?

When I bought this toy, I was so anxious to use it. I always kept it in my purse for the perfect timing. One day we took a walk and I stopped off in a restaurant to insert it. When I came out, I handed him the remote and explained what it was. He was thrilled to have power over my pleasure and it was exciting to get an unexpected rush now and again in public. As I've mentioned before, the vibes aren't that strong but the mental excitement and the slight stimulation was perfect for us. We couldn't wait to get home!
