Sweet, Sweet Candy

Looking for a discreet vibe that has good materials, fairly strong vibrations, and the feel of a luxury vibe? You may find that in the Kandi Kisses. This little vibe is a good value for what it offers and could be that first luxury toy for anyone.

Use

Bedroom Kandi did it right with it's small, discreet vibe called the Kandi Kisses. The Kandi kisses is a vibrator disguised as a tube of lipstick. It's a great option for those who travel or have limited space for sex toys. It can easily fit in a purse and no one will be the wiser. It also offers above average vibrations given its size and the fact it is a USB rechargeable toy. It is a strong competitor to Lelo's Mia (it seems the two are competing for top discreet lipstick vibe given the similar prices and qualities).

The Kandi Kisses is an affordable vibe if you're looking for a rechargeable vibe that has a luxurious feel. Beginning and advanced users alike can enjoy having this vibrator in their collection. It's designed for clitoral stimulation, but the silicone end can be inserted. It is small enough to be used on the clitoris during certain intercourse positions. It can be used as a teaser on erogenous zones such as the breasts, tummy, and buttocks. It can be used to stimulate the prostate externally (it's too small to even consider inserting anally). It isn't waterproof, but it is fairly quiet, so you can use it discreetly.

Material / Texture

The insertable and actively used part of the Kandi Kisses is made of silicone. Silicone is a very body safe material that ranks a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Materials Scale. It is non porous, so it has a longer shelf life than other materials and it will not harbor bacteria after a good cleaning. The silicone is smooth to the touch with little drag (a drop of water based lubricant can help for a more effortless glide). The tip is shaped somewhat like lipstick. It comes to a rounded tip. It is quite firm but not unyielding like steel or glass. It will stay where you put it. It can afford enough pinpoint stimulation for most users. If you want more broad stimulation, you can tilt the toy a bit on its side to widen where the vibrations go.

The bottom of the Kisses is made of silicone (where the controls are). The rest of it is made of black plastic with some gold colored accents. The handle has a quilted pattern. This spices things up as well as provides a solid grip when using the toy. The cap that covers the silicone tip is plastic, smooth, and glossy.

There is no overt smell to the Kandi Kisses.

Design / Shape / Size

The Kandi Kisses is a good size to be discreet yet functional. It is fairly comfortable to hold and use. It is thin, thicker than the We-Vibe Tango/Salsa and takes up less space than LELO's Mia. It has a larger insertable length compared to Mia as well. The Kandi Kisses is 3.75 inches long with an insertable length of 2.25 inches. It has a circumference of 3 inches. It is not intimidating in any dimension and is appealing to many users. The silicone also provides a natural better grip on the skin than the smooth plastic of the other mentioned vibes. This toy is not meant to provide filling sensations. It is meant to stimulate externally as well as tease the entrance of the vagina.

The Kandi Kisses is very discreet. It can go in a make-up bag with no problem. If you happen to keep your beauty products on your dresser the Kisses can hide there. It is also discreet in terms of sound. You will not be heard beyond a closed door unless you have very, very thin walls.

Functions / Performance / Controls

There is one main button at the base of the Kandi Kisses. Hold it for a few seconds and it will turn on. The Kisses has a few standard vibration modes and some patterns. They are:

1. Low standard vibrations:
2. Medium standard vibration
3. High standard vibration
4. High-low-High coaster
5. Short, fast pulses
6. Faster, shorter pulses
7. Two short pulses, then 1 long

The vibrations are a higher pitch and a more buzzy compared to Mia, but it sounds more buzzy than it feels. The vibrations should be strong enough to work for many users. I think the Kisses is a low 4 Vrooms. It is not a solid 4 Vrooms in my mind. However, please note that I rank vibrators differently on strength. I know many consider the Hitachi a five, but I consider it an 8 (it really is off the charts). So my scale is a bit more fluid.

The Kisses is splash proof. It should not be submerged. It charges via USB. It does not have a charger indicator (which would be nice), but the instructions say that it takes about 2 hours to charge fully. So long as your computer is on when you plug it in, the Kisses will charge.

Care and Maintenance

Care for the Kisses is fairly easy. The instructions say you can wash it with soap and water. It might be best to keep your focus on the silicone portion since the toy is only splash proof. A toy wipe is an easy way to clean it. If you don't have toy wipes, then a moist, lint free cloth will work to wipe it down. Spraying toy cleaner on a cloth is another option. It does collect some fuzz being silicone, but this is reduced to almost nothing if you keep the cap on when the toy is not in use.

Once clean and dry you can store the kisses in its box, a dresser drawer, or purse. Only use water based lubricant with this toy.

Packaging

The packaging for the Kisses is quite lovely. It comes in a tasteful cover box made of card-stock. Remove this box and you'll see the main box. The main box is like a large, elongated ring box. It opens in the front. Inside you'll see the Kisses nestled in some black fabric. Remove the Kisses and you'll find the charger. Below this layer you'll find the instruction booklet. The instructions are useful and come in a variety of languages.

The outer box is not discreet, but tasteful. The main box is mostly discreet so long as no one knows the Bedroom Kandi logo. The box can easily be used as long term storage. It would be nice if it came with a small pouch, though. This could make a very nice gift. This could be a great gift given to a younger woman who may be shy about more "obvious sex toys" and want to explore her sexuality. It is also a nice gift for aficionados.

Experience

I've been eyeing this one for a long time now. I don't know how many times I've had it on and off my wish list for about a year now. I haven't owned anything form OhMiBod and was initially interested in their freestyle toys (the rabbits/vibrators that can hook up to an iPod). However, I'm always on the lookout for awesome clitoral vibratos, so I figured I'd give this one a try.

Mia or Kisses?

I have owned both Mia 1 and Mia 2 in addition to the Kandi Kisses. Some buyers may wonder "which is better? Which should I get?" It depends on your preferences. Mia is a little larger, and has the LELO name. It works well and has decent vibrations. The Kandi Kisses is a bit smaller (when you take off the cap to use it) and has a silicone tip. The silicone tip provides a better grip on the clitoris compared to Mia. Mia is more likely to slide around when fluids come into play. The Kandi Kisses is also better to hold since it has the quilted patterning on the body of the toy.

In terms of strength, the Mia 2 is more rumbly in nature and is stronger than the Kandi Kisses by perhaps 20 percent. The Mia 2 is louder than the Kandi Kisses, but both are discreet within 2 Bees.

I think the controls for both toys could be a tad better, but I prefer the single button on the Kandi Kisses more. I feel it is easier to reach and manage during the moment compared to the button located on the side of Mia. However, I feel the buttons on the Mia 2 are a bit more responsive. Both charge by USB, making them basically direct competitors. The Kandi Kisses is ten dollars less than Mia. However, all higher end LELO toys come with a 10-year satisfaction guarantee. This allows a user to buy a product at a 50 percent discount on LELO's website. Both toys are packaged well and deliver a nice presentation, but I prefer Mia's packaging for the fact it comes with a small storage pouch.

So which should you choose? If strength is your main desire: choose neither. Get the We-vibe Tango or Salsa. It is much stronger and is charged by an outlet instead of USB. Between Mia and Kandi, get Mia if you must have one of these two. What about overall value? I say the Kandi Kisses is a better value, especially if you prefer silicone over plastic.
