This vibrator is definitely intended for the clitoris and the area surrounding it. It is short enough that it does not do much by way of vaginal penetration, except very shallow sorts, and since it does not have a flared base should never be used anally. It is fairly apparent upon opening this toy that it is meant for the clitoris. The neat little groove in the top/head area of the toy is perfect for surrounding the area with vibrations.

Due to the waterproof O-ring, this toy is also ideal for water play, and can be used safely in the bath/shower, assuming that the ring is tightly in place.

This toy would be an ideal toy for beginners. It is small enough to not be threatening, but powerful enough to still get good results. There is significant variation in the speeds and types of vibrations (10 different kinds) which should appeal to almost everyone. It has decent vibrations, but for those who like it really strong, this may be a bit of a let down. However if you're just beginning your collection, or even if this is your first vibe, this would be a good one to choose.

The Lia Encaser is made with 100% silicone, making it among the safest toys out there, and a 10 on Eden's material ratings scale. I noticed no odor upon opening the package. It feels incredibly smooth, as proper silicone does, with very tiny seams along the sides, but not anything that would be felt when you are using it. This would definitely be a good type of texture for beginners, because it is very safe for the body and doesn't require much upkeep. The only thing that needs to be kept in mind is that you are only supposed to use water based lubricant with silicone toys, so if you feel like you need more lubrication, that would be the way to go.

I really enjoyed the design on this toy. As the pictures show, there is a curve in the head of the toy that is meant to... well... encase your clitoris. Good naming choice I suppose. I found it really enjoyable, assuming I could get it lined up properly. If you tend to leave it in one spot or move minimally, the encasing part of the head is always easy to find, but if you tend to move it around a lot, you may occasionally find yourself having to turn the angle of the toy back to the encaser part.

The size is fairly small, about 5 inches total, with about 3 of them being insertable. I was honestly a bit surprised by the smallish size of it when I received it, though I clearly had seen it online. However in this case size doesn't really matter too much, the only thing that the shorter length may have made more difficult would be keeping a grip on it if things start to get really wet down there.

The size of the Lia Encaser is well created for a beginner. Being so small it is certainly not as intimidating as some of the larger toys might be. However as someone who has had other vibes before, I still was not disappointed in this one. It would definitely work well for a beginner, but that is not the only type who might appreciate it.

This toy is very easy to hide, seeing that it is so small. It can easily be placed in a drawer or a case, or even slipped under a pillow in an emergency. It isn't particularly discreet, and anyone who came across it would know it was a vibrator, but since it's fairly easy to hide, that shouldn't be a big problem.

This toy features a power button that is separate from the vibration controls, which is nice. If you need to turn it off quickly, if you lived in a dorm or with roommates or others that you didn't want to catch you, this is a very convenient function. However once you turn the toy off, you have to cycle back to the setting you previously left off at.

The other button is to control the speed and tempo of the vibrations. There are ten of them, the first three are the typical low/medium/high vibrations, and the rest are variations of slow and long pulses. There is a pretty good variety of tempos, and a few of them have low and high versions. My only complaint was that the power button is right above the control button, so if you're not paying attention, it could be easy to accidentally shut the vibrator off.The vibrations themselves aren't horribly loud, but they are noticeable. However they are also easily muffled when needed, by throwing a blanket on.

The Encaser also lights up at the base near the controls, I have the purple one and the light is purple as well, I would assume the pink one is pink too. The light pulses in time to the tempo you have the vibrator set to. This really serves no purpose but is kind of cute anyway, however at times it can be a bit distracting. However, again, if you choose to put a blanket over yourself, you can't see it at all.

This toy takes one AA battery, which is convenient. The base unscrews and the battery fits in there. I've used it several times and have not noticed that it needs to be changed yet, so it seems to keep to some extent.

This toy is easy to care for. Since silicone is water and dirt repellant, as well as non-porous, it is one of the easiest materials to care for, as well as one of the safest to use. There are several ways to clean it. It can be disinfected with your toy cleaner of choice, washed with anti-bacterial soap and water, or washed with a 10% bleach solution.

The Lia Encaser is easy to wash, as long as you make sure to pay special attention to the encaser part of the toy, because it easily collects fluids.

This toy needs to be stored in its own packaging, so it does not touch any other toys. Silicone toys should never be resting together and touching, other wise they will melt and both be ruined. Water based lube is the only lube that can be used with these for the same reason.
