Stupid Cupid

Overall, Cupid is an alright toy for the price. It's squishy, plush, and super textured. It's more of a beginner's toy but could probably be enjoyed by anyone who likes a lot of texture.

Use

This toy works best for thrusting as there is no G-spot curve. It can either be used solo or with a partner. There's no risk of it catching on the pubic bone and because of the plushness, it's not very likely that it's going to bruise your cervix.

It also works well as a clitoral stimulator. The top bulb, where the bullet is located, works very well to stimulate your clitoris.

It's not suitable for anal because there is no flared base.

Material / Texture

Cupid is made of a super plush TPR silicone that's rated a 6 on the Eden safety scale. It's phthalates and latex-free as well as hypo-allergenic. The product page describes it as being velvety, but I completely disagree. When I run my finger over the material, it almost feels like it's ripping under my finger. It's very weird to try to describe the texture. The whole toy is very soft and squishy except for the plastic dial-base.

I'd probably say that this toy's best feature is its plushiness. It's squeezable and bendable, and you can twist it around; it makes for some really cool squishy thrusting.

There is a lot of drag to this toy, so you're going to have to use a substantial amount of lube.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy is a total of 7 1/4 inches long, and 6 of those inches are insertable. At its largest point, it has a diameter of 1 3/4 inches.

The toy consists of three large bulbs along the shaft that are covered in flowers and stems. The flowers are very protruding and provide a lot of texture. If you don't like texture or if you can't handle a lot of it, this is not the toy for you.

The tip is broad and bulbous but provides good clitoral stimulation when pressed up against your clit.

The design isn't very discreet. People will know that this is a vibrator.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Cupid has a thick O-ring that makes it completely waterproof. I submerged it for 10 minutes and even brought it in the bath with me. There has been no leakage into the battery compartment.

The vibrations are controlled by a dial-base located on the bottom of the toy. When turned to the right, the speed and intensity increases and vice-versa. I don't like the dial-base at all. It's very touchy and can turn on very easily if the batteries are left in. It gets really annoying when you're using it because it's so easy to turn by accident.

The bullet is located in the tip. The vibrations are concentrated there and barely make it down the rest of the shaft. The vibrations have about a medium level of intensity and are very buzzy. They can be heard through the blanket but probably not through a closed door.

The base twists off for the battery compartment, and it takes 2 AA batteries.

Care and Maintenance

Washing it before and after is pretty much a must because it's such a lint magnet. If you don't want to completely wash it before use, you'll have to at least run some warm water on it to get rid of the lint. Cleaning is really easy because it's waterproof. Simply wash it with some warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner.

TPR silicone is a silicone-based, rubber compound and will not play well with silicone-based lube. Make sure to only use water based lubes with Cupid.

Cupid needs to be stored somewhere clean, so that it won't get covered in lint. I use the packaging that it came in, but you could also use a plastic bag.

Packaging

Cupid comes in a regular flip-top box with a clear plastic window that displays the toy. There isn't really any care or usage information included. The box isn't all that pretty, and it's not-so-great for giving as a gift. It's also not very discreet.

The toy was made by Shaki Toys in China and that is very clear from the translations on the box. It says that it has realistic motions and a veined shaft and head. It has none of these things.

Here is a paragraph from the back of the box that made me laugh: "Beautiful clubs and wave curve expand your limitless imagination! Touching tightly and communication can be achieved by raised clubs and multi speed vibration, to own it! To cover it, what do you still hesitate?"

Personal comments

Cupid definitely isn't my favorite. The texture is a bit much for me, but other than that, the design of the shaft is really nice.

I hate the turn-style base on this toy. It just turns too easy. One night, I accidentally left the batteries in, and they were dead by the morning, and I'm assuming the toy turned on when I set it down.

Although the material is nice, the toy itself is kind of cheaply made. The material on mine is starting to separate from the base, and I've only used it a few times.

It's probably going to work better for beginners because of the lower vibrations and size. Just make sure that you don't buy this toy if you don't like texture!
