Somewhat disappointing dryad
The Dryad doesn't live up to its claims to be an innovative new kind of toy, but overall it's still a decent one.
Published:
Pros
very luxurious materials, good construction, great vibrations, user-friendly, quiet
Cons
nothing special, not good for multi-purpose use
I was really excited to try the Dryad based on its unique design. First impressions first: the toy is extremely well made, with the silkiest silicone I have ever felt, easy-to-use seamless buttons, and an internal charging port. It is very quiet, becoming almost silent once inserted. The dual shafts are not very thick - at the widest point each one is slightly bigger than my thumb - but they curve outwards, which gives the toy more width overall.
Speaking of the curve, it does make the Dryad a bit tricky to insert. I had to use lube, which I rarely resort to unless I'm using a monster of a toy. Once inside, however, it becomes a non-issue; in fact, it's hard to even tell that there are two separate shafts. The vibrations can build up to a pleasant intensity, but it doesn't feel much different from a solid, single-shaft toy. Possibly it would feel different to someone more sensitive; I just didn't get anything special out of the experience.
It is also tricky to use for multi-purpose stimulation. The curve of the shafts means that it isn't very effective for simultaneous internal and external stimulation, because the shaft inside curves away from the G-spot and the shaft outside curves away from the clit. The length and bendiness of the shafts also make it tricky to use purely for external stimulation. It could potentially work to double-penetrate vaginally and anally, but I haven't tried it!
It's not that this is a bad vibrator by any means, or even that it's overpriced - for such good construction and material, the price is fairly reasonable. My disappointment stems more from the fact that the Dryad, for me, doesn't do what it claims it does, and I already have plenty of vibrators that do the same thing it actually does.
All that said, I'm not giving up on the Dryad. If I learn any useful tricks or change my mind about anything, I will be back with an update!

Per the video in the store description, I think BOTH prongs are supposed to be inserted for g-spot orgasms.
-
Yep! I tried inserting both as well as inserting one while the other provided external stimulation; unfortunately neither way did it for me.
