This toy is great for someone who's just beginning their experiences with vibrators, or just looking to add to their collection. My biggest complaint was the lack of functionality — there's only a single setting and it's just not strong enough! While I wasn't a complete fan, I definitely will continue to use this toy. At least until I get something way better.

Pros
Quiet Discreet Small Easy to store and travel
Cons
Not strong enough Stupid sleeve thing Kind of hard to clean
This Pocket Rocket is perfectly designed to sit beautifully on your clit. It's shaped like a 4" "personal massager" type of toy; a small handle which houses the battery and also functions as the on/off switch (yes, there's only one setting) and a flat top with three brass-colored beads. This toy also feels pretty good on the neck or nipples.
July Ashton's Pocket Rocket comes with a delightful looking pink jelly sleeve to pull over the toy. It's incredibly difficult and will rip if you don't use extreme care. I didn't notice any improvement in function and in fact found the jelly to be more annoying than anything.
The Pocket Rocket is made of smooth pink plastic with the balls on the top being brass. It's capped by a small, removable hard plastic piece with an additional texture. I didn't find the texture or material to make any difference in the performance alone, but July Ashton's Pocket Rocket comes with a pink jelly sleeve. The sleeve smells strongly and is amazingly fragile and hard to clean. Mostly, it's just squishy feeling like any other sleeve I've felt made of the same material. During use, the texture didn't bother me but the jelly definitely absorbs the vibrations.
The design of the Pocket Rocket by itself is pretty awesome. It might not be ergonomically shaped or aesthetically pleasing, necessarily, but it's pink and I can hold it in my hand easily while I'm playing and I can hide it easily if need be. This is perfect for someone who's new to vibrators and needs something that doesn't necessarily look like a sex toy.
The sleeve, while it doesn't exactly bring "sex toy" to mind either, is still small enough to easily hide. You would want to store it inside something, however, because the jelly's sticky material will pick up debris and other nasty bits.
This is where I have my issues with July Ashton's Pocket Rocket.
The first complaint is the functionality. As I mentioned before, the handle of the Pocket Rocket is also the on/off switch. As in, there's only one setting. I'd say this setting is a high medium, which might be absolutely perfect for some but it falls just short for me. The Pocket Rocket only takes one AA battery and that might explain why it goes dead so quickly. It is, however, incredibly quiet!
I don't think I liked the jelly sleeve at all. It was hard to get on and off, the pearls pop out if you aren't super careful, and it totally absorbs all the vibrations.
The Pocket Rocket can be wiped down with warm soapy water or a toy-cleansing wipe. You just need to be careful not let any water into the toy as it's not waterproof.
The jelly sleeve can be cleaned with warm water and toy cleaner. Be careful to stay away from harsh soaps! All of the enticingly disappointing nubs and crevices make this sleeve so amazingly hard to clean.
I was so excited to try this, I literally loaded up the battery and went to town the second I got the door closed after the UPS guy. It was nice, but I couldn't help wishing the vibrations were just a little bit stronger! The sleeve I'll probably never find a practical use for, but the Pocket Rocket itself is pretty good.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it3 months after original review
It's still just okay. I never use the Pocket Rocket with it's little sleeve because the pearls have begun to pop out & it's really just more effort than it's worth. I don't mind the vibrator, but I can't wait to replace it with something better.
