Smurffette was the only female Smurf, Ya Know...

The Fleur De Lis Silky G had a lot going for it, if only it executed some design aspects a little better. A slightly firmer G-spot tip, and some stronger vibrations would have easily made this toy 5 Stars.

Use

Okay, so eventually there was Sassette, but that's beside the point. The Fleur De Lis silicone silky G is a vibe designed for G-spotting. If G-spotting is not your orgasmic destination, the tip is also great for direct clitoral stimulation. Generally, great G-spot tips on toys are great for P-spot stimulation (externally), but since the tip on the Silky G is quite flimsy, this is not a good option for that.

The Silky G is discreet in terms of sound, so this can be an option for those who live with other or don't have the privacy they wish they had. Even if you share a room, you can whisk the Silky G to the shower and have some waterproof fun with him. The Silky G is a great toy for masturbation, but may get in the way using it during sex with a partner.

The Silky G is a great beginner's toy and would make an awesome gift. It is made of good materials, has decent strength, and is waterproof. More advanced users may be unimpressed because it only offers basic vibrations. Power Queens will not get enough power from this toy either.

The Silky G is not intended nor designed for anal play.

Material / Texture

The Silky G is made of food grade silicone. A 10 out of possible 10 on the safety scale, silicone is hypoallergenic, non-porous, and long-lasting. It is latex and Phthalate free. The toy has a very, very slight odor on it that can only be discerned if you put the it right under your nose. The odor is not unpleasant at all. In fact, it has a slightly sweet odor, which reminds me of a weak, fruit smelling, dry erase marker.

The texture of the Silky G is pretty smooth. It does have a noticeable seam running down the middle of the toy, but it can't really be felt. The texture it gets is from the G-spot tip and shape of the toy. The shaft after the tip is streamlined and smooth. There is a little drag to this velvety silicone, so a drop of water based lube might be needed to get that desired glide. The texture is very beginner friendly (since there really isn't much).

Sadly, the G-spot tip has a little too much yield. If you need firm G-spot stimulation, this toy probably isn't going to cut it. The Silky G bends easily in the cinch between the shaft and tip.

The tip is designed well, but the flexibility makes it problematic for G-spotting. However, this could be a good option for those becoming familiar with their G-spot and want to take things gently.
    • Flexible
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The design for the Silky G is basic, but nice (if only the tip weren't so flexible!). The tip looks like a smooth, top-half of a lobster claw. The tip is curved and fans out to the toy's first bulge. The toy bends most between the first and second bulges. Then after the toy's second bulge is the streamline shaft. In terms of size, the Silky G is beginner friendly. It is also a great choice for ladies who prefer more slender toys in general.

At its widest point, it is 4.25 inches around. The bulges are titillating and allow you to tease the entrance of the vagina. The Silky G has a total length of 7.75 inches with an insertable length of 6 inches. Size Queens, you may roll your eyes at me now. Good? All right, moving on!

The Silky G is not designed specifically for travel, but he's easy to take along for a journey. Just wrap him so he doesn't clang around or damage his silicone. It's best to removed the batteries so the toy doesn't accidentally turn on during travel (the button is located at the bottom of the toy). In terms of noise, the Silky G is very discreet. It ranges from 1-2 Bees depending on its setting. You won't be heard through a closed door, blanket over you or not.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The functions for the Silky G are pretty simple. There is one button on the base that serves for both the power and settings. The toy has 3 basic vibration settings: Lo, Medium, and Hi. To turn the toy off, you have to go through all the settings. So the button order is:

Power On with Lo -> Medium -> Hi -> Off

The toy is ranked overall at 4 Vrooms. I don't think this toy deserves a solid 4 Vrooms. It is really more of a solid 3 Vrooms. The vibrations are rumbly but do not travel well through the toy. The motor is located at base of the G-spot tip. The vibrations are strongest there and the strength dilutes greatly if you feel them at the shaft. The shaft has maybe 2 Vrooms on Hi.

The good news is the Silky G is waterproof. There is an O-ring in the battery cage to keep water out. I have submerged it and the toy lived to tell the tale.

The battery cage and battery installation is a bit of a pain for this toy. Inside the cage is a plastic "sleeve" for the toys 2 AAA batteries.

The center of this sleeve is pinched inside and the plastic separating the two batteries is a bit thick. If you place the batteries in, you'll see a small gap between them. You need to apply a little brute force when putting the batteries in so the connect with each other. Then your toy should turn on. Always be sure to twist the cap on tightly. When you finally get the batteries in and working, the batteries last a good amount of time.
    • Discreet sound
    • Finicky battery cage
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

Care isn't too difficult for the Silky G. It is a nice grade of silicone and it doesn't really attract lint compared to other silicone toys. To clean, you can use soap and water, toy cleaner, or wipes. It shouldn't be boiled since it has electrical components. Just take a little extra care to where the bulges cinch and the seam of the toy, since it can collect debris. Overall, the cleaning is pretty easy.

Once dry, you can keep the Silky G in its original packaging, or you can wrap it in a cloth and store it in your general toy storage. It's always good to store silicone toys away from TPR, Jelly, and similar materials because it can affect the silicone coating and contaminate the surface of the toy.

Only water based lubricant should be used with this silicone toy.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging for the Silky G reminds me of a child's toy. The packaging is colorful, fun, and visually pleasing. The toy stands tall in it's clear plastic, bottle-like packaging with a flat, purple base. It is not at all discreet. It is see-through. The clear plastic does have floral and vines designs on it, which is a nice touch. The base screws off to give you access to your toy. Also, there is a little rope/fabric attachment that hangs off the side of the packaging. It has a charm on it in the shape of the Fleur De Lis, or styled lily.

The packaging can be used easily for gifting; it is colorful, appealing, and cute. The packaging can also be used for long term storage if you have the room for it. There are not additional instructions that come with the Silky G.
    • Good for storage
    • Very informative

Experience

The Silky G was my introduction into toys from Evolved. While I'm not exactly in love with this toy, I'd probably give another toy in this line a try or give one of the toys on the roulette line a go. I really think this toy is closer to 3 Vrooms than 4 as well. While it might have 'maybe' 4 Vrooms at it's strongest point, overall the toy has weak spots that average about to 3 Vrooms. If you need a hitachi or like products to get your O, this toy will feel like the flapping of a bugs wing.

The Silky G might be a good option for those who are hesitant about G-spot play. The tip is so forgiving that it'll give you lots of play for discovering what you do and don't like. Overall, if Evolved made this toy a little firmer and a little stronger, it would be amazing.

Follow-up commentary
This toy is simply too flexible to work for most users. You cannot apply any pressure to it or it will veer off from where you want it. If you do not apply pressure to your toys and only need an average strength toy then this can work for you.

Mine is in the hardly used toy box. It'll stay there... for now.
