I was skeptical at first when I received the Charisma Smoothy. The packaging is very typical of badly made novelty products. I had no intention of being impressed, but it managed to happen anyway. The silicone is very soft and smooth. It's really great for external use on gentle areas. It's got no roughness to it at all. There are no unpleasant smells or tastes to it, and clean up is your standard soap and water.

The controls are your standard press buttons, and it has ten settings that are a mixture of powerful pulses and standard vibe. You merely press the button to switch on and then press it again to switch through the settings. Simply hold the button down for a few seconds to turn it off. Unlike the "Day Glow Willy" I also reviewed, the button on this toy is a lot more forgiving, and takes more pressure to switch settings. This makes it less likely to switch settings on you during play. This baby is waterproof, so don't be afraid to take your Smoothy for a shower adventure. As with any silicone based toy, use only water based lubricants to prevent toy break down.

The place this toy really shines is in power. The layer of silicone on the outside is soft, but not squishy. This choice of materials allows the vibrations to flow throughout the toy and be felt more strongly than it would be otherwise. It's excellent for clitoral stimulation as well as within the vagina. Best of all, it only takes a single AA battery. I can't say enough about this one. It's a good staple for any toy box, whether you're a beginner or an advanced user. Everyone needs at least one all purpose discreet waterproof vibe and if you're looking for one, this may be it.

It was nice while it lasted. Unfortunately, after light use over a couple of months, it's dead. I don't know if my vaginal muscles are really strong or what, but the motor died. The light still flashes, but all connection to the motor is gone. I even switched to new batteries, so that I was certain. It's a real shame, because the vibrations were great. I miss it already.
