The Lelo Smart Wand is made as an all around body massager and clit stimulator. It does state in the manual to not massage around your chest or throat area. There are 8 different vibration patterns and different levels of intensity to experience. It also has a SenseTouch feature setting that intensifies vibrations as you press it to your body.

The wand consists primarily of silicone except for a portion of the handle which is a silver colored plastic. The silicone feels very nice and smooth to the touch, although you can make out two seams that run down either side of the head, down to the plastic handle. They aren't noticeable during use and don't bother me at all, but they are there.

The on, off & pattern buttons are located on the silicone portion of the toy, not the handle. The wand itself has no odor really. Although the foam-like storing pouch it came with does have an odor, but I'm hoping that will air out as I just opened it today. It appears to be a different pouch than the silk one that comes with the medium wand.

The design is lovely and ergonomic. The head of the toy does have some give to it so it can flex a bit while in use, but not much. It is a bit bulky and about the same length as the Hitachi wand, although not as heavy. The smart wand is approximately 1 pound and the hitachi is closer to 1.5 pounds. The wand is 100% waterproof. The charging port is located at the bottom of the handle & appears to be wide open. This worries me a bit, although I'm sure it's fine or they wouldn't have made it this way.

Once fully charged, press the (+) button to turn on your wand. You can keep holding down the (+) until you reach the intensity that you desire. The middle button that somewhat looks like () will cycle you through 8 different pattern modes, one of these being just the standard steady vibration, so it's more like 7 different patterns. To go into SenseTouch mode, hold down the () pattern button for 3-5 seconds. This will put the wand at a slow steady vibration which will intensify when you hold it up to your body and then get low again when you move it away. Or so, that's what it is supposed to do. Personally I feel this mode is a little wacky and I didn't like it at all. My wand kept going crazy in SenseMode and it would intensify way too fast and it didn't seem to work like it should. To turn off the wand you just hold down the (-) button. To travel lock your Smart Wand hold down the (+) & (-) buttons at the same time for 5 seconds. To unlock repeat this step. The Smart Wand also has a memory function that remembers the last setting you used and will default to that when you turn your wand back on. The controls are very easy to use and only require one push of the finger to get them to work. The vibrations are extremely rumbly and vibrated my whole hand and arm which drove me crazy.

Like all silicone toys, do not use a silicone based lubricant with this wand or store it where it comes in contact with other silicone toys. For cleaning purposes, soap and water or some toy wipes will work just fine. I would recommend storing the Smart Wand in the pouch they provide you to keep it clean and away from dust & lint. Also avoid leaving your wand in direct sunlight or letting it sit in extreme heat.

This is a well made product but I do not think it is worth the huge price tag. If you don't mind feeling strong vibrations in your hands while using a toy you might like this wand. It does have some nice vibration patterns and the fact that it's cordless and waterproof makes it more versatile than any other wand out there. It just didn't do it for me.
