Ada may be small but this toy has mighty vibrations and lots of fun settings. Ada is a great addition to any collection and will provide pleasure for years to come!
Dr. Laura Berman's Ada is a traditional vibrator made by California Exotics. It has 10 functions which can be cycled through with a simple push of a button. This product is designed with women in mind. It is absolutely perfect for vaginal or clitoral use and could even be used for other parts of the body. Personally I didn't get great G-spot stimulation but it does have the potential. The only place that this vibrator can't go is in the anus, since it lacks a mushroomed end for safety. It is great to use during foreplay with a partner. Do take the proper safety precautions though; if you are going to being using Ada on more than one person a condom is recommended. Ada is also small making it easy to stash far away from prying eyes and it also waterproof allowing for use in the tub or shower.
Ada is made of pure silicone, which gives it a rating of 10 on Eden's safety scale, and is adorned with a swirled design. The lavender color is pleasing on the eyes, the silicone is smooth to the touch. The swirled ridge that wraps around does give Ada a little something extra. The only drawback I found was that Ada did tend to grab just a bit; this could be an issue for those who don't shave or wax the bikini area. Overall, this vibrator is perfect for beginners or advanced users alike.
Ada is a lovely lavender color, sports a chrome ring between the toy and the controls, and with an overall length of 5.25" is generally pleasing to look at. Only 4" of Ada is insertable so this isn't the largest toy on the market. However Ada is nicely proportioned with a diameter of 1.25" at the thickest point. The size and shape of this product make it very easy to control and with a weight of only 0.2 lbs it isn't overly heavy.
Ada is perfect for someone who isn't seasoned in the toy world as the size, shape, and color make it one of the least intimidating toys out there. However, Ada would be a great addition to even the largest collector's stash.
The battery compartment is located below the silver ring on the satin finished controller. The control unscrews to reveal the battery compartment, which holds 1 AA, which was not included. Once a battery has been inserted you can start testing Ada out.
The push button control lights up when pressed and will synchronize with vibration, pulsation, and escalation. Ada can put on quite the light show when used in the dark! To turn Ada off simply hold down the push button for a few seconds.
Ada features 10-Functions that provide varying levels of vibration, pulsation, and escalation. The varying functions make this toy anything but boring, however I did find that I was accidentally pushing the button and changing settings at very inopportune times.
The toy isn't horribly loud and couldn't be heard through a closed door. When fully submerged in water Ada was virtually silent.
Ada is fully waterproof making cleaning a breeze. Just some simple soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner gets Ada ready for storage. Do make sure you rinse the toy well to avoid any residue though. Ada does not come with any type of storage other than the box, but could be simply placed in a drawer. You might want to remove the battery for extended storage due to the sensitivity of the controls, unless you want to end up with a vibrating drawer.
Ada comes packaged in a simple plastic bag inside the box. The box is by no means discreet, however, it was informative providing general instructions in several languages. If you plan to use Ada as a gift I would present it privately since most people don't want to rip open a gift and flash a huge picture of their new vibrator to those in attendance.
I wasn't especially impressed upon my first glance at Ada, however the toy has surprising power for its size and competed with my favorite vibrator for the coveted spot beside my bed. Ada has earned a spot in my collection and I look for it to remain there for years to come.
My partner and I gave Ada her first trial during an intense session of foreplay. Ada passed the test with flying colors giving us both pleasure but not being intrusive or hard to operate. Later on I gave Ada a go round solo and I was surprised to enjoy myself just as much. The multiple functions were really the highlight for me because I tend to get bored with traditional single speed vibrators.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it44 months after original review
Ada has stood the test of time and is still a regularly used part of my collection. Batteries last for a long time even with regular use and I have not had any issues with the waterproof seal.
This toy is well worth the money, and an excellent addition to your collection!!
