This vibe feels satisfying when inserted and the vibrations are pleasant but not overwhelming. The vibe has a lot of texture which is pleasant when used slowly, but can be too much when used vigorously. This toy is best when used slowly due to its size and texture.

Pros
*Texture *Girth is satisfying
Cons
*Vibrations are a bit buzzy *Plastic is firm and doesn't bend or squish to fit anatomy.
The Pleasure Petals is a textured vibrator. It has a gorgeous design along the shaft. The design is raised which creates a texture that can be felt when used. I am not super sensitive to texture, and I could feel the texture on this toy. I found the texture too much when this toy was being thrusted quickly.
It can be used externally or vaginally, but it won't be good for anal due to the lack of a flared base. Using toys without a flared base for anal play can cause them to be pulled inside with a stray muscle spasm.
It's made from plastic which is firm, and it has a 6.5" insertable length which means that for some women it can bruise the cervix if thrusted too vigorously.
The vibrations are steady and controlled with a dial on the bottom. They are a little bit buzzy, but still pleasurable.
Material: This vibe is made from plastic. It is firm and doesn't bend or conform to anatomy at all, thus you will want to be careful with using this because it can bruise your cervix.
Plastic is rated an 8 on the EF safety scale. It's a food grade material that is hypo-allergenic, latex and phthlates free. It is non-porous and does not have an odor nor does it retain any odors.
Texture: The raised design is gorgeous and creates a great feeling internally. I am not really sensitive to texture and I felt this one quite intensely. For those that are sensitive to texture this may be too much, but I will leave that to your discretion.
Beyond the design, the vibe is smooth with a very slight velvety texture. It has a very small amount of drag against the skin but it is almost negligible.
Design: The design of this vibe is pretty girly to me. It is more pink than the picture on my monitor shows. My monitor shows it as a soft coral color whereas the one in front of me is more of a soft pink. It is a basic cylinder with a tapered head that is in no way realistic, but it is also not at all discreet due to its size.
The design of the texture is a floral and vine pattern. It is very pretty, and it makes me wish that this isn't so obviously a vibe because I want to leave it out to appreciate. The design is pretty stylized rather than realistic.
It takes 2 size C batteries. The battery compartment is lined with a thick card stock to help minimize noise. I would not recommend removing it. It may not seem like it will help a lot but it really does.
Shape: The Pleasure Petals is a long, fairly thick cylinder with a tapered end. It is comfortable and easy to grip despite its size.
Size: This vibe is about 7" total with about 6.5" able to be inserted. Its diameter is approximately 1.25, and its circumference is 4.25". This vibe's size makes it not terribly discreet if left out, but it can easily be stashed in a drawer or under the bed easily.
This toy satisfies me, and I lean towards girthier toys. I think that this would be a good toy for someone who prefers a little size to their toys. It may be a little intimidating for first time toy users, but I think this would be a good second or third toy and work well for more experienced users also. This may not be a good toy for those that haven't had experience with penetration before.
Controls: The Pleasure Petals is controlled by a dial at the base of the toy. The dial is not on the same screw as the lid to the battery compartment like other toys I have seen.
Functions: This toy has a dial so you can theoretically control the vibrations. I say theoretically because it is a pretty powerful toy. When you turn the dial the vibrations kick on and it only goes up from there. I don't particularly like super strong vibrations, so I end up keeping this vibe on a pretty low setting.
Performance: This vibe has no change in pattern or tempo, just the steady vibrations. It can be fairly intense, but it isn't the most intense vibe I own. The vibrations diffuse throughout the length of the toy and don't just focus in one area. The texture isn't overwhelming as long as it is used slowly. My partner was using this on me and he got pretty vigorous with it, and it got to be too much for me. I enjoy this toy as long as it is used slower.
The plastic is easy to care for. You can clean it with warm water and antibacterial soap or with isopropyl alcohol. The downside of the texture means that it becomes a little more of a challenge to care for. The texture creates a lot of crevices for fluids to get caught in. Washing it with a very soft bristled brush will help get it clean.
You can store it in the package it came in, but it is a little big to store it in. I prefer to just drop it in my toy drawer. The plastic doesn't attract lint and hair like silicone, and it doesn't have to be kept separate from certain types of materials.
I love being able to sterilize my silicone toys in boiling water, but I also appreciate the low maintenance of plastic toys like the Pleasure Petals.
The packaging on this was fairly minimal. It was a clear plastic oval with the ends closed off. The packaging didn't list much information, just the name of the toy and the EF logo. I would not call the packaging terribly discreet because you can see the toy easily and it looks like a vibrator. The toy was shrink wrapped inside the packaging. The batteries were not included with this, so you will have to purchase batteries separately.
I am a bargain shopper that also appreciates quality. This vibe really feels like it is a perfect mix of the two. The $15 price tag is a fantastic deal. The vibe is a great way to experiment with texture and powerful vibrators.
Overall, I think this is a great basic toy that is a great staple for most toy boxes.
I am not new to toys in general, but I have never really been into vibrators. Lately I have been giving them a second chance and figuring out what I like.
I was interested in this one from the beginning because I found it so aesthetically pleasing. I was disappointed that the batteries weren't included, but for $15 it is still a great deal.
I found this one more pleasurable internally than externally. The vibrations were too spread out and the tip just didn't feel as good on my clit as some of the other vibes I have used, but I am more of an internal girl anyway.
Inserting this toy was pretty easy, but I can imagine that some people may require a little lube because of the size a texture. I took it slow because I haven't ever used a toy with so much texture before. I found it to be extremely enjoyable.
When my partner used this on me, he thrusted faster than I did on my own, and I didn't like the texture then. I also found that for my anatomy, the length can reach my cervix, and because it is so firm, it could bruise it if I am not careful. With all of that in mind, I still really like my Pleasure Petals. I think it will be a regular for me during solo and couple play.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it27 days after original review
I love my pleasure petals. It's in my go to rotation for an internal vibe. For the first few weeks after getting it, I used it every time, but I have gotten some new toys that I like just as much, so it has slowed down.
The texture on this is still the best I have. It's not too much or too little for me.
