Shake, Rattle, and Remote Control
The Shaki Egg is a fun toy that allows you to tease your partner with wonderful vibrations at the touch of a button. It can be used discreetly in public, and works at a distance. This is a great toy for partner play, or use alone without worrying about wires.

Pros
Good vibration, works from a distance, wireless, batteries included.
Cons
Uses watch batteries, not waterproof, settings have to be cycled through.
When the Shaki Remote Egg arrived in the mail, it came in a cute colorful box entirely covered in Chinese. Lots of Chinese character phrases followed by exclamation points, on every inch of the box! Only one English word was on the box – Egg. This was interesting, I thought. Maybe there isn’t a word for egg? The front of the box had two see-through plastic windows, where the egg and its remote were visible, and they looked cute. The number 10 also appeared on the box, followed by more characters and several exclamation points. I really wanted to know what the rest of the box said, though! If only I could find someone who knows how to read the language (but I digress).
The remote control and the egg are both a nice pink color, and have a soft, velvety texture. Both parts are made of plastic, a non-porous and phthalate-free material. Plastic can be cleaned with soap (I like antibacterial soap) and water, or wiped with isopropyl alcohol. Do not submerge the egg however; the seam that circles the center of the egg doesn’t seem to be completely watertight. Water, silicone, or oil lubricants can be used safely.
Ten watch batteries were included in the package – that’s a lot of batteries! And it turns out this toy uses all 10 at once: 4 in the remote and 6 in the egg itself. Maybe that was what the 10 was for on the box!
The controller has an On/Off button, and a button labeled 10. This button cycles the egg through its different levels of speeds and vibrations. Attached to the control is a pink plastic loop cord, with a small loop sectioned off at the top with a metal band. This loop is small, but the rest of the loop opening is about 2 1/2”, so it can be hung on a hook, or inserted through a belt or other item. The battery compartment door came off easily, and the diagram inside the door shows how to load the four batteries. This was easily done.
The egg presented a bit more of a challenge. The egg is about 2 1/2” long and about 1 1/2” in diameter. It also has a plastic loop, about 3” long, and there is a seam that goes around its center. The two halves of the egg unscrew to reveal where the remaining 6 batteries go, along with a diagram so they are inserted correctly.
This the first remote toy I've owned, and I was eager to try it out. Once the batteries were loaded, I experimented with turning the egg on and off with the remote. I was able to turn the egg on from up to 30 or so feet away, through a wall. The remote didn’t have to be pointed directly at the egg, either.
I couldn’t wait to try this out with my partner, so I tried it alone first. It was great to be able to nestle the egg on my clit, then put on panties and jeans, without a pesky cord! I put the remote in my pocket and pressed on, and the egg began to vibrate away. Wow! With the egg pressed securely against my clit, it felt fabulous. I cycled through the various settings. The only problem with the various speeds and vibrations was that when I found one I really liked, if I hit the button and changed the setting I had to cycle through all of them again to find the right one. Two buttons to go through the cycles from either direction would have been great. It didn’t take me long to climax.
When my partner came home, he thought it would be fun to tease me with the egg, so I handed over the remote (where would men be without control of a remote?) and inserted the egg this time into my pussy. He randomly turned it on and off all night until we were alone and able to have sex, and it was an incredible turn on! He liked having the power of making me so horny, and I enjoyed the surprise of the vibrations starting and stopping without my control.
I love this egg! I really enjoy it when my husband has control of it, and it definitely adds some spice and anticipation to foreplay. He likes that he can control it from another room, so I don’t know he’s playing with the remote. I would also recommend this for solo play, as you don’t have to worry about a cord.

Follow-up commentary

I have found (luckily) that the batteries are lasting for a reasonably long time in this toy. I've also discovered they sell these batteries at our Dollar store with 5 in a package - lucky day!
You can tell when the batteries are going in the remote - you can't control the egg from as far away. In the egg it's easy - the vibrations are not as strong. We've replaced the batteries once so far, and decided it would be easier just to replace all of them if the unit is losing power.
We tried this out in public once, with it inserted in my vagina, and it was too much for me to deal with in public. My husband thought it was amusing, but it was turning me on too much so I had to go take it out. I prefer using this in the house, where holding back isn't an issue.
I would still recommend this egg for wireless fun!
