Sexy and innovative, but needs improvement (video review)

Overall I would recommend the G-Ki if you want to try something new and don’t need a lot of pressure (think glass or the Pure Wand). It's definitely quality, but the vibration level is a little lacking for me.

extremely useful review
Upon receiving a notice that I was getting the new Je Joue toy for review I was incredibly excited – I even started hunting down further information on the G-Ki so I would be well prepared to do this review when it arrived. The problem is, G-Ki is so new that no information is to be found. I can’t even figure out what price the G-Ki will be retailing at. I know I’m not supposed to include things like price in the review, but I figure with a toy that is most likely going to be expensive I need to take price into account when writing my summarizing recommendation.

I ended up finding a lot of information about how the G-Ki is designed to work and why it’s different than other high-end g-spot vibrators out there, like the Gigi. The G-Ki is adjustable into 3 different angles, so if you have ever had problems with a g-spot vibrator being too angled or not angled enough, the G-Ki may very well solve your problem.

The angles are adjusted my depressing two small bumps on the side. Once one is totally depressed, you can manually adjust the angle. I personally find the bumps hard to push down, so take your time. Je Joue points out that if you fail to depress the bumps and break it while adjusting, your warranty will be void, so make sure you get it pushed down all the way.

G-Ki is obviously meant to be used for stimulating the g-spot or the g-spot and clitoris at the same time, but you could also use it anywhere you want vibration just as with any other vibrator. I found using it on just my clit didn’t work well since the vibrations would need to be stronger, but if you are very sensitive I assume it would work just fine.

The G-Ki itself is controlled by two small silver buttons which read plus and minus. You can cycle through all the levels of vibration, pulsation and “rollercoaster” mode using the plus button. You can also go back down with the minus button. If you press and hold the minus button, you can turn the toy off no matter what level you are using at the time. I think this makes the toy really interesting since most toys either have the cycle back down option or the shut off option, but not both.

The G-Ki is made of 100% silicone, so it can be sterilized by wiping down with a bleach solution. You obviously can’t boil it because it has mechanical parts. Same goes with running it through the dishwasher. This also means you can’t use silicone based lube with the G-Ki – stick with only water-based to be safe.
G-Ki is also completely waterproof and thus easily cleaned with soap and water after use. I was initially a little weary of putting it in the water because I didn’t want it to die, but after some inspection, I failed to see where water could get in so I went ahead and submerged it. It stood the test, so you can all be sure that the G-Ki is indeed waterproof! I haven’t used it in the bathtub because we don’t own one (only showers, I know, sad) but I’m sure since it was fine submerged in the sink for cleaning it will be fine to use in the bathtub.

I have a few favorite features of the G-Ki, mainly one really. That favorite feature is the rollercoaster mode. When placed into the most acute angle possible, inserted and placed on rollercoaster mode, you can sit hands free and just enjoy the vibrations. The coolest thing about the rollercoaster mode is that it makes the G-Ki move back and forth a little bit as the waves come (i.e. zzzzzZZZZZzzzzz….zzzzzZZZZZzzzzz…zzzzzzZZZZZzzzzz) and go. This makes it feel almost alive or as if you have a partner using the toy on you. I think this could be a very desirable feature for a lot of people. In the video I will address this as well as adjusting G-Ki.

The packaging of the G-Ki is both pretty and annoying. It’s a LELO-esque black box that ties with a black ribbon and says Je Joue on top. When you open the box you see G-Ki. The problem for me was that it took me a good 5 minutes to be the platform where G-Ki sits removed so I could get to the charger and the user’s manual. Once you take it out a couple of times you get used to it, but if you’re the type that is annoyed with things being difficult to take apart, I would store the charger and the manual somewhere else after you initially remove it.
Experience
(continued from above)

I wish that the vibrations of the G-Ki were stronger, but since I have a clit of steel and my g-spot responds more to pressure than vibration this could differ for you. It is a reasonably strong vibrator, but the majority of the vibrations are concentrated in g-spot end, so when you adjust the G-Ki for dual stimulation, the vibrations that hit the clit are lacking. Again, this is highly personal, if you don't have a clit of steel the vibration level may work well for you.
